hey . is there any tool that I can make R7 260x custom bios ? I only want to change Memory Ferq from 1750 to 1700 . its an ASUS R7 260X GDR5 2GB DC II OC ( its default clocks is 1188 for GPU and 1750 for Memory . but memory will crash in games in 1750 but works in 1700 , I need some tool to change this memory ferq to 1700 but in bios . because I already try Bonaire Power management tweaker tool .

Can`t you do that in AMD`s Control Panel? Or MSI Afterburner?

Maybe he want a more permanent solution so he don't need to run a program on every startup

right now I can do what I want but I want to force my card to have constant freq and in the bios not with software or any other stuff right in the bios the best way is custom bios instead of use software and sometimes not working as it meant to be . why the hell there is no R7 260x bios editor ? is that hard to break in to ? If there is anyway to edit bios please tell me I can use hex editors or other stuff like that but I need to make sure nothing going wrong in that way . all I need is my ASUS R7 260x CU II OC only Memory down clocked to 1700mhz and its stable with 1188mhz GPU clock . its all ok but ASUS made a Bios with 1188Mhz GPU clock and 1750 Memory clock and the only problem cause the 3D games to crash is the memory ferq is only 50 higher than the stable ferq ! so just help me out if u know anyway .

Hello, the past few days ive been searching through this post, but so far only partly successful on modifying bios. I have a Club 3d hd 7700 Ghz edition. I am already running with a modded bios which works fine. however some games will require some more power i think as im having some dips here and there. however my VRM : UP6266 is my voltage controller. the voltage control is grayed out in bve7. Is my VRM one of these regulators that are non software ones? so it cant be programmed?

so i tried to edit my bios in a hex editor, i successfully changed from 1.2 to 1.25 volts (it were the only numbers i changed 1200 to 1250, i opened this bios is bve 7 and it would read the correct voltage i set). so i gave it a shot. however when i flashed this rom my card would get stuck in idle mode and 0,8 volts, no matter the load. ( i did reset ccc and msi, also tried to set it to the clocks i wanted in both ccc and msi, even tried different voltage controls/ force constant voltage / disabled low profiles in msi, robooting between each setting, but nothing would help. also ccc would show that my core and memory clocks were zero and unable to set anything. only msi would read the proper clocks) what did go wrong here? 1.25 is not in its table? did i also had to alter the signal with a corresponding number? or my VRM simply cant be programmed..? would there still be a way to properly hex my stock bios?

Also ive been thinking to maybe flash the card with another bios (XFX hd 7700 black edition OC).This one seems to have the same memory types/voltages/slightly higher performance clocks etc but the VRM used is different in this bios. any problems foreseen here?

U guys dont have a original bios of the club 3d Ghz edition ( i found one club 3d bios but it was not the same) so here you go. i also added my hexed version and the bios i was thinking of using:

im quite a noob when it comes to this so sorry if i asked questions that should have bin clear to me!!

thanks everyone for reading!

Did you figure out how to mod this card successfully ? I also have this exact card and voltages are grayed out in vbe7. But i'm not after overvolting but rather undervolting, so it will use less power and less fan noise.
With msi afterburner i was able to successfully drop the voltage to 1.075V (from 1.17V) but i can't burn this into the bios.

It's actually quite a decent card. Without touching the voltages, it works perfectly with -10% powerlimit and can spins it fans down under idle if you set the fan curve right.

Fixed it by f lashing a different bios. Stock bios actually had wrong vrm baked in. Upon closer inspection, pcb had a completely different vrm.

Nice tool!
Brought hope to XFX R9 280X Double Black owners like me:)
Couldn't change voltage in Msi AB.
In VBE7b the voltage field only accepts 3 digit after been clicked.
What I'm doing wrong? :(
I have same problems m8. Did u ever find a solution?. Cos this program is exactly wat I need but its useless at the moment.... Ggggrrrrr

Hello guys, flashed a Sapphire HD 7950 and got confronted with a wierd problem:

Flash was shown as succcessful and all went well appearantly; strange is gpu-z reports reports this:

GPU Clock: 900 MHZ - Memory: 1250 MHZ

Default Clock: 1050 MHZ - Memory 1325 MHZ

It basically shows the oc values ive set in the modified bios as the default clock, but keeps applying the standard clocks.

Ive tried exiting afterburner, restarting computer, resetting amd overdrive, no matter what i do it keeps applieing the standard clocks though gpu-z shows the oc settings as default clock but doesnt apply them.

Does someone of you guys has an idea what could be going on here ? Thx for helping.

I edited and flashed my BIOS a while ago and everything still works perfectly. The card came with a UEFI BIOS out-of-the-box which was disabled while editing. My question is, if I decide to flash my original BIOS back would the UEFI capabilities be restored, or the modded BIOS flash somehow permanently disabled UEFI?

That depends whether you have a programmable voltage controller, some XFX cards don't........ Firstly to test that, have you tried voltage adjustment in MSI Afterburner?

This program no, you need a hawaii bios editor, there is another program elsewhere, i will give you a link to it when i get home, but honestly unless if your board does have a csm/uefi switch i wouldnt mess with.

Bear in mind there are some voltage controllers that are not programmable too. @Tatty_One brought that to attention for another new member here a coiple of weeks ago.

@Law-II can help @XFXSupport can help too

I was talking about the gpu for the bios tweaks, if it doesnt have a dual bios switch on it id be very wary of doing any mods.

They won't, give up @Ruslan2017, it's for 7000 series cards. You have been told by @erocker there isn't a bios editor for the 360 or 370 card you have, so stop asking.
