When I think of the Command & Conquer games developed by Westwood I think of some great RTS games but I just started a unique C&C game that I missed back in the day. C&C: Renegade. It is the only game in the series that is a FPS and it was the last in the series developed by Westwood before EA shut them down.

It's pretty average for it's time. Nothing special but I'm having some fun with it.

Yeah its quite annoying, the game suffers from poor micro-stutters as well.
Its very obvious if I was to run it at capped 60fps, less obvious at 90fps cap.
Weirdly it can play on my X16r1 native resolution with no border(2560x1600), compared to 3440x1440 which is the native resolution on my monitor.
But despite the micro-stutter, since its a open-world turn-based combat the micro-stutters you can get by with no problem.

I am now on a mission to recruit the 4 heavenly kings in SMTV Vengeance now, i'm on a bit of a hype train right now for chinese deity/gods because of Blackmyth Wukong.

Played South Park TSoT on PS4 in one sitting few days ago, though didn't get all trophies yet. Been about 6 years since I last played it.

That censorship on console versions is always funny, saw that already on X360 years ago.

I finally finished Tomb Raider I (remastered) and those later levels are fiendish to say the least, so it's just as well I love puzzles and platforming.
Lara lives to fight another day...

Also loving the 7950X3D when it behaves..... Although the hoops you have to jump through are a bit ridiculous, hoping AMD fixes that shite through the chipset driver if not with this model hopefully the next.

Still like it night and day better than the 7800X3D that was painfully slow at anything but gaming.

I remember playing Riven decades ago when I bought the CD for my then wife, hoping it would be a good intro to PC gaming. She loved it! Me, not so much and I found it very frustrating.
Even in its day, it did look wonderful.

I am about to finish Still Wakes The Deep on PC Game Pass, pretty fun/scary so far, I usually don't like these kinds of games, but the unique offshore oil facility being the setting was kind of interesting to navigate around. I am expecting this game will get a 7/10 game from me, maybe 8/10, I don't like scary genres, but don't want that to hold it back from a point. @the54thvoid you might like this game as its all Scottish people I can barely understand the accent half the time (game has subtitles on by default for this very reason) but you would probably like it with subtitles off lol

I am also playing Jedi Survivor, and I have to say hands down this is going to be my personal GOTY, I am getting 165 fps 165hz 1440p Epic settings (shadows on medium), its soooo fun when its smooth gameplay like this, I can see all the action. I am investing heavily my skill points in the Dual Wield stance. Attacking while blocking at same auto leaps me back is my favorite combat move so far. I also love the different areas of the game, currently am in a desert area, but its really beautiful. The cyberpunk aesthetic of the city at the start of the game was also really decently done.

Immortals of Aveum ended up being a 6/10 for me (still a good score for me btw), it's honestly great the first 40% of the game, but I found the combat to get really tiresome after awhile. Jedi Survivor is probably going to get a 10/10 from me, I'm glad I waited for it get all patched up before I decided to play it, its been nothing but a gorgeous and smooth experience. The combat by contrast to Aveum is extremely fun imo.

Since we haven't had Internet since Wednesday and having to use a mobile 4G hotspot, after finishing Tomb Raider I, I'm tinkering with all things TR Remastered, including Unfinished Business, The Lost Artifact, which is actually one of the more difficult adventures and The Golden Mask, none of which I ever finished in their original forms.
Puzzles and platforming - good for the grey matter!

So I'm commited to finishing Disco Elysium, and I sorta get why people find dice games annoying (such as D&D, like what this is based on). It's weird how often I success on rolls with a 17% chance and how often 80% rolls fails.

The D&d mechanic is why I didn't fully enjoy Knights of the old republic, I didn't realise it uses d&d mechanic for it's hit % rate until the very end of the game.

you mean the original tomb raider remastered, or the 2013 tomb raider that was remastered and exclusive to PC Game Pass? (fyi I tried it and Lara's eyes look weird as hell in the PC Game Pass Definiitive Edition 2013 Tomb Riader), my guess is this is why they didn't release this version to Steam/GoG, the environment is more pretty, but its got some issues.

I still remember playing that on the original Xbox, my parents got me two games, Prince of Persia Sands of Time and KOTOR for original Xbox. damn those were some good times, my parents were pretty epic back in the day

I spent 5 hrs tonight in Jedi Survivor so far, its fun as hell, this is 100% going to be my personal GOTY, so many tiny little details, like you can wash your hands in the bathroom, look in mirror, flush toilet (most AAA games these days skip the tiny details like that) i know it doesn't really matter, I just appreciate them adding details like that. the puzzles are fantastic and satisfying when I figure them out, the combat is fun, albeit I don't feel like a super powerful Jedi a lot of the time. I invested points heavily into dual wield and confuse ability on the Force talent tree.

I can confuse anything I want to attack its allies and it casts instantly, so I will get two Commando StormTroopers attacking their buddies then I will go in and clean up the mess lol

Finished Streets of Rage 4 (on Switch)
I had a lot of hesitation before buying the game ... would it plays like the olders one ? As fun ?
And ... yes, the dev's made a good job replicating the old gameplay.
Basically is the same old SOR formula with better design.
Enjoyed my time, finished with Axel, and reding it with Adam, sometimes the new one and sometimes the SOR 1 character.
The game is not that hard (in normal mode) because how it plays : when you start a level, you have 2 lives to begin with (can gain more with scoring), and when you finished it even with no lives rest, the next level starts again with 2 lives. It's a clever idea !
Of course there is the Arcade mode, with 1 credit.
The only negative side (call me grumpy old school gamer) is the graphic, even super nice, I miss the old pixels ...
And the music, it's not as good as the olders ones, on my second time I'm playing only with the old school music (a great idea : a mix of Game Gear and Megadrive/Gensisi tunes).
It's a solid game very fun, even better on sale !

This image was a dream in 1991 ... And it's now a reality !

If you've played the originals game back then, you'll find some old well known faces

Of course, play it with friends and double the fun !
