Oooh, Spintires had a physical release and can be had cheap (Warning on the box makes it look like alternate way to buy a Steam code). MR was so good that when I figured out SR was never going to be that I probably forget to check this out.

I got Spintires Steam key from CDKeys 4 years ago:



Played it with a friend on LAN, good times. It's not available on Steam anymore, but the codes can be redeemed. There are better ways to obtain the game though. It's a legacy thing at this point anyway. Was just checking it out and the only key available is for the base game (no DLCs), the bundles and separate DLC keys are all out of stock...
Mudrunner is a dumbed down console downgrade, and Snowrunner might even earn a more complete game badge, but both of them lack something very important the OG game had - superb physics and no console BS. I'm aware that the same hauling logs job over and over again may bore people to death, but Saber had a different audience in mind with its sequels.
And I'm not even commenting on that POS semi-auto gearbox in Snowrunner, auto reverse, etc... Spintires is a true PC game, and you know it right away. Setting up a wheel (and the rest) takes seconds. Setting up a wheel in Snowrunner demands tutorial, and even ghub related regedit tweaks.

Real drivers set danger sign records by crossing distance counting trigger point from the opposite direction.

That looks great. One of the first mods I installed was a vehicle FOV mod. Vanilla it felt like I was driving around in a SMART Car. What is the name of the color palette mod?

I see you are using Afterburner. AMD Software also has a overlay this more granular than Afterburner. There are also that FPS number are lower on Afterburner vs AMD Overlay.

Lol, yeah the default FOV is atrocious. The colour palette is technically two mods. CET and LutSwitcher with the Vanilla pack in optional files. Just drag and drop like usual and select "CleanGoodHDR" from the CET overlay or whatever else suits you.

I see you are using Afterburner. AMD Software also has a overlay this more granular than Afterburner. There are also that FPS number are lower on Afterburner vs AMD Overlay.

I like the way Afterburner is more customisable but I suppose AMD's own overlay is more ideal if it makes testing more accurate.

Trust me click on Advanced on the Overlay tab and be impressed.

Appreciate reminder to look where this setting got left during multiple months of attempting fixes and waiting for patches. I should just download the Definitive Edition of Mafia I and II that have less issues.

You will skip this if: you are a die-hard AC fan and want to continue experiencing the story. NO Assassin Creed story here. Just a random story....nothing to do with anything AC-related.

Most of the game service launchers have built in ability. As do the monitoring overlays. Anything outside of that is just a desktop screenshot program.

I'm really impressed with the environment in this game. I've been watching clips since it's a bit too pricey for me at the moment but the weather looks and sounds so good. Some of the best environment design in recent years.

I'm using the Xbox Game Bar function. Windows + G and select screenshot or click the screenshot button on an Xbox controller if you're using that instead. But like nomdeplume said you can really just use anything that takes a picture.

few days ago i watched a video of this game on our 4k tv, oh man this game looks gorgeous

Yeah it looks stupidly good. CryEngine at its best really. It is so good at vegetation, overall (&volumetric) lighting and atmosphere, and just an astounding detail and sharpness. It all just works; and without tons of exotic effects or weird graphical instability.

My favorite is forgetting Steam stores it's own local copy outside folder you point it at. Having a full game file sized backup on your OS drive always feels good to delete.

Playing on hardcore now. It's not really that difficult with all the upgraded gear that carried over. The only problem is I never repair the knife or the vest, saving for that 2.000.000 rocket launcher. So far, it has not caused me any trouble, but we'll see.What worried me more is that I noticed yellow herb doesn't work on second playthrough. Or maybe I'm already at max, does it go further than 3/4 of the way around that HUD circle ?
