I like everything expect the Corsair memory I would have gone with G.Skill instead just personal reference since I had way too many issues with Corsair's memory in the past.
I already have two G.Skill kits. from my experience i never had any issues with Corsair RAM in my entire life. and i already run stress tests and have the FCLK at 2133 without issues.
but it's surprisingly difficult to find DDR5 for some reason.
this one was the only one available that's not CL36 or costs 180€+ (was 139€ 2€ cheaper than the non RGB version)

If you have to spend $1000 to get a good CRT, you're going something wrong.
You'd probably see FW900s reach that price on ebay but seriously the prices people ask for CRTs are ridiculous nowadays.

Is that still going on with AM5 and DDR5?

Not sure had it cross platform on Intel and AMD in the past even with custom builds that was verified for 24-48hours before they where shipped out.

Well I don't do RGB myself so I took a plain kit of Flare X they work like a clam from day one with my 7700 non-x.

little thicker than most known brands, but works better and longer than the octa core Lenovo i had before,
does seem to be faster than the Galaxy Tab A8 i primarily use.

@tabascosauz
oh man, you a$$, DSC in VR :D
loved when i did the PS4-VR demos and no customers around,
quite some hours wasted on AceCombat, even if it only had limited missions.

@wNotyarD
pretty decent, usually relabeled, stuff.
got their pcie 4.0 drive (1TB) for less than anyone else wanted for phision/samsung combo..

@jallenlabs
depends on use, i always went for the "cheapest" flexible ones,
usually longer life, and less sognal loss, but never went for those "100$/ft" stuff.
anyone with costly equipment would probably run a different typ of cable anyway.

@SN2716057
arctic says the P series fans work best as pull (not push) setup.
if possible, i would put them behind the rad.

@Shou Miko
since i started using ryzen for builds (not just mine), not a single Gskill kit worked past jedec,
no matter if 150$ MSI or +250$ Gb (all x570), while all corsair (incl veng) worked as expected.

as long as you know what to look for, corsair kits are fine, but i found the Viper kits to be better value, incl 3600/14 or +4000 kits.

@Waldorf The negligible temp difference between push and pull is not enough for me to switch.

@MSDOS Retro
there are ppl, willing to spend more, on something they want.

i would have never spend full (msrp) on a used item, until i found a certain item thats not being made anymore,
being "perfect" (e.g. speakers, passive rad/res combo), and the only way to get a replacement (part), is (overpriced) used..

@lexluthermiester
yeah, and short of the (usually at the) bottom (android) control being on the side, i havent seen anything the samsung does better, besides costing more.

Decided to treat myself with 16 gigabytes of basic DDR4-3200 16-20-20-40 just for the sake of more RAM and an i5-10600KF for my 2nd computer.

Not a fan of Lenovo in general but just picked up an Tab M10 Plus (3rd gen)

Will mainly be for home streaming use. It will replace a really beaten down Nvidia Shield K1 tablet and my Huawei Mate 9 that I have been using as a mini tablet for a few years now.

No order confirmation yet, i'm not sure whats going on but PayPal tells me that payment is still waiting authorisation.

Not looking for doing much with this tablet apart from watching youtube in bed and obviously the browsing of TPU while taking a dump

I just bought a replacement microwave oven. The magnetron in the old one gave up the ghost yesterday with a loud pop. It's fifteen years old, it doesn't owe me anything more. The rest of the appliance still works so I'll keep it for now for the range fan and light.

The new one is smaller and weaker but at $80, I'm not complaining.

@FreedomEclipse
glad i sold mine.
the one i listed above (is cheaper than what i paid for the Leno), has double the ram, and even runs better when gaming.

@cvaldes
my GP had an old Panasonic that had enough space for a turkey, got it when they moved into retirement home, as it was working fine.
until the place i rented went up in flames.
Would take that used one over anything below 500$ rn...

Totally stable (heavy AVX benchmarking) at 4.8 GHz.
Totally stable (heavy gaming) at 5.2 GHz.

Totally unstable at 5.3 GHz. Prolly won't investigate why.

Feeling lucky!

Reminds me of fudgin' '21! And I certainly don't want one for that much if parts-replacement is required. I still remember the "video card-gate" scandal of '21, A.K.A., "video cardmageddon".

Even in '23, we had another scare related to video card supply, but even the AI craze looks like nothing, compared to the Eth-proof-of-work-bullrun era.
Also, we have Intel Arc to the rescue, and it also looks like we also have 16 GB RXs for only 3-hundy coming. Nothing like '21 and early-'22.

It's about time to see more 16 GB cards! 8 GB is kind of like 4 GB now!

Yet you still can play almost any game without a hinch on a 3070 Ti. Of course several titles need more than 8 GB VRAM even at 1080p but 8 GB is not bad, it's just not optimal.

My current GPU has 12 GB. That's very pleasant. But it being a 6700 XT makes for a rather sluggish core so I can't make proper use of this VRAM chunk. Wish it was 40% faster at least.

For professional workloads, I don't know, RTX 3090 is probably the best bet $ per FLOPS wise.

60 USD minig card. I just use for CUDA, AI. (stable diffusion) but it is usable for gaming.
P104-100 4Gb GDDR5X
Just modded the bios for the 8Gb vram (tested ok!). Yes there is 8x1GB ram on the card, it was just disabled.
Drivers is modded and signed for DX, Vulcan, RT...
Still needs to unlock the full PCIe 16x lanes. (16x hw, 4x sw) And i think it is possible to unlock the shaders because it is a GTX1080 Turbo with dual cooler and limited bios. I have an external bios writer so i think i will try the p104-101 or the GTX1080 bios. (possible need to mod the strap smd-s on the back of the pcb)
Also there is two hidden outputs, not tested yet. Very quiet but 80C at load, so it is need a new fan profile when all the cores all unlocked.

still depends on the game.
e.g. i doubt UT3 is using as much, just because it runs at 2160,
ignoring how many cards actually have the hp to run AAA at a decent frame rate with that res, and make use of more vram (MS flight sim)..

Got bitten by the curiosity bug again. A year ago on A770 it was kind of rough with annoying bugs (OS-wide sound crackling all the time anyone?), let's see how good or bad the experience is now.
