Windows 11 24H2 yes or no?

I haven't gotten the Win11 24H2 yet. Is this perhaps because I use Win11 with TPM disabled?

Beware so, if when you enable TPM it downloads/install 24H2, it will also BitLock your HDD/SSD !!

I think this behavior will be removed once a lot peoplz will have complained enough, in a few months btw.

I think i will wait a little more until all problems are more or less sorted out. I'm still on 23H2 no problems with anything, and i can do my work with it, playing games... No errors seen yet.
I follow everything here and bleeping computer pages and some You-tuber's. When the time is right i then will decide to install it.

Right now my computer's reliability history is sublime, no errors whatsoever. So waiting a little more does not hurt. Not many people have a clean reliability history as this.

Well, Rufus disables TPM that disables BitLocker and my true PC didn't biten by BitLocker.

I think the disc get Bitlocked maybe when you use a microsoft email address login account to your windows 11 box.
My offline login user with windows 11 pro did not bitlock any drives.

The amd gpu driver was updated after the windows 11 pro update. The updates were paused / are paused as of now. The driver does not load anymore for making changes to the settings or game profile very, very, very often. Logout of windows 11 pro and log into windows 11 pro solves this issue. But it's annoying and shows a bug, which I hardly saw before

I used VirtualBox that needed TPM, no account, it didn't do that on 23H2.

Don't forget folks, there are over 10 million Windows Insiders. These are people who have volunteered help make Windows better by participating in software testing of pre-release builds of Windows. So, in addition to the 200,000+ Microsoft employees doing, in effect, in-house beta testing, there potentially are several million users worldwide testing these updates before they are released to the general public. Any found bugs and problems are reported back to Microsoft so they can be fixed, then tested again by the Insiders before general public release.

Is the Insider program perfect? No. Does it ensure there will be no problems? Of course not. With 1.6 billion unique Windows computers worldwide, no doubt there WILL still be some computers that have problems. But the Insider program does greatly increase the odds these upgrades will be problem-free for the vast majority of general public.

While these updates that are made available to the Insiders are essentially "Beta" versions, much Alpha and Beta testing has gone on "in-house" before the Insiders get them for further, more extensive testing. I know many Insiders - none have reported their computers were "bricked".

If you are interested, especially if you have a second computer, consider becoming a Windows Insider. Not just to help make Windows better, but so you have some insight ("insider information") about updates, what's in them, and potential problems. This will, IMO, help cut down on much of the dark (and often false) rumors, assumptions, and conjectures that we see often, as we have seen in this thread.

If you bypass the requirements it should work fine. I just installed 24H2 on my old Sandybridge laptop to try out Win11 for the first time. Works as normal albeit maybe a little more sluggish than 10.

You need to block Windows Update from installing drivers. Otherwise, Windows Update will interfere with Adrenalin.

I haven't tried the update, but when installing from a fresh ISO, Bitlocker is not applied.

I'm already an Insider, for the Release Preview channel on 24H2.

23H2 on the daily-driver, is not flighted to Insider.

In any case, if their telemetry indicates there are problems with the build under certain conditions, they might keep PCs meeting those conditions from getting the update. Usual procedure for Microsoft.

24H2 should work fine on anything AMD AM3+ and Intel X58 forward, assuming the use of bypasses.

Unfortunately, '2033 is broken, like '1882 is. The only workaround, is to block updates, or flight to the Release Preview channel.

Unsure which LTSC you're referring to.

Enterprise LTSC 2021 support ends on January 12 2027
IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 goes EOL on January 13 2032.

Windows 11
Enterprise LTSC 2024 mainstream support ends October 9 2029 (no extended support, you're expected to jump to the next LTSC afterwards)
IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 mainstream support ends October 9 2029, and extended support ends October 10 2034.

If you absolutely don't care for Windows 11, just stick to 10's Enterprise LTSC (IoT or otherwise) and call it a day.

Personally, I think you should just try 11 if you haven't. Get your own impression of it. Afterwards, pick whichever you like more (or dislike less).
