How is it going? I have ordered a powercolor x1900gt. I guess it's almost no chance to get a unlockable? I hope I will be able to overclock it a bit with the vf900-cu though.
What about those x1900xt 256mb? Can they help getting the gt's unlock?

check the front page to see if you have the magic number.

Hm, I don't now. Think I read somewhere that the new x1900xt 256mb would be the solution for more lockups, but I can't find the source again =\
Maybe it was just a rumour

Hi! I got a small question about my X1900GT. I've bough it on ebay, change the standard fan on it for a Axccelero X2. While removing the Fan, I've notice that it says on the core R580 ENG SAMPLE. What does this means ? I can't get higher that 600/700 on it. The GB_PIPE_SELECT SAYS : 0X27E4

Is there anything I can do to overclock it more ? Can someone help me with that ?

whalle: sorry, i didn't know you could get the XT with 256mb ram ( we dont have them in norvegica) try to find a bios for the x1900xt 256mb and compare it to the GT card

jfgibeault: read further back in the forums, and find out how you can mod your bios to open up the extra pipelines, and post back your results.

(btw, do your card have 6 or 7 black mosfet chips next to the thin red heatsink (near the powerplug)

Nobody is trying of changing the bios?

ok, i saw one HIS X1900GT ICEQ3 on this thread.. nut have anyone tried to unlock it?
no luck? HIS X1800GTO ICEQ3 was 100% unlockable but what about X1900GT?

it doesnt matter what brand the card is, what matters is what core they released, the pro or the XL. (pro being the one unlockable) and the only way to find out is to start it up and ATitool it to check the pipelines.

but then again, you might get lucky getting a pro core, but today, thats harder than winning the lottery

There is comming a modell called X1900 (Vanilla) that has only 256mb but the speed and pipelines that the xt has, so when that modell comes into the marked, maybe ther is hope for us that has an unlockable x1900gt
