I painted the inside and back of case a flat black. replaced thermal compound on chipset and sb coolers with ceramique t o improve cooling. I remove the stock fans and got some higher rpm and bright blue led fans for front and side. 9500 and cpu are both lapped. I get about 32c idle and 45 load at 1.5v at 3.35Ghz.
Basically a last attempt to stay in the am2/amd area before i lose faith in amd and go to intel. I must say it's quite a rig i get about 91-100 fps in cod4 multiplayer at max settings 1280x1024. I kinda owe it to the TPU forum browsers as the 5000 be was a christmas present that my gf got because she asked you guys and you guys helped her out, so for that i thank you all.

Nice Rig too.
8/10 for a clean rig
my current overclock is as stated but with an htt of 1195-yes it's stable, just a small voltage increase that's all.
the cpu idles 32 and loads about 48-55 depending on room temp
the nb is about 30 all the time
mcp sb is 30 all the time
8800 goes from 47 idle to about 60 load on stock cooling.
anything that may help out the cause is welcome please bash it if you have to just help me improve.
yeah i tried see the problem is my mem does 1066 at 5,5,5,15, 2t, and my cpu does 3.35 stable
so i couldn't get the mem to run at 1066 because i could reach a clock high enough and no matter what divider i use i need to have mem that will do in the 1120 range, i'm considering buying a kit of tracer 1066 mem and using that so i can get the higher clocks. my corsair is d9 chips but they don't clock as high as crucial's. the cpu does a great job at 3.35 and i wish i could go higher but i fear i may need some better cooling at 3.5 i can post run about 10 mins of orthos cpu stress test but i gotta get it 1.56v and it hits about 68 almost instantly and that's not cool:no pun intended.
good airflow management big plus but, beige on black looks horrid plus you have the same case as everyone else that posts here! -2 from me 5/10
I'll give you 9.9/10 for making the best possible use of available resources.
Yeah the ventilator fan on top of the Nine Hundred is a plus. It compliments the CNPS 9500 that's blowing hot-air upwards.
All in all, a sweet and powerful AMD rig.
(6/10, fairly good, but need some improvement in the cabling; its not very neat)
Quit ragging on the guy for buying a great case. There is nothing wrong with the antec900, it offers superb cooling, so why penalize him for that?
Only reason it wasn't a 10 was because of the beige drives. Nice rig.
the speakers are some altec lansing desktop's that i picked up from comp for 10 bucks after they came out with the going out of business sale. the model number is vs2420. check em out they really aren't a bed pair of 2.0's for the desk. i got a nice headset for the good sound, this is just nice if i want to hear someone else.
otherwise looks nice..
oh and nice proc! :)
6/10
I have my 9500 blowing down towards the bottom of my case right now. Would it have more benefit you think to blow it out the back? I guess I would face the fan towards the front of the case then?
So I take it your faith is restored in AMD? I also have a 5000BE and couldn't be more impressed. I like your machine's specs and the look is nice and clean. I myself need to move into something bigger and really need to work on cable management. So since yours looks better right now I can only give you a 6.....Okay an 8! I do have to dock you for the drive face plate. Match it up and you get a 9.
no offense but I hate those antec 900 cases and I hate those zalman coolers even more sorry dude
