Key Features:
Intel CPU AMD Graphics AMD CrossFire Water-cooled
This modder's other projects:
System Specs:
  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 @ 4050Mhz
  • Thermaltake BigWater 745 with Thermalright XWB-01 Waterblock
  • Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
  • 4x2GB Patriot Viper DDR2 @ 900Mhz
  • 2xSapphire HD5670 512MB GDDR5 Crossfire
  • Enermax Modu82+ 625W
  • Nzxt Tempest
  • 7x120mm fans (4 Scythe Blue LED Kamakaze fans on dual-rad, 1 Scythe Blue LED Kamakaze on single-rad, 1 Enermax Everest on rear, one Nzxt Blue LED on the side panel)
  • 2x140mm fans (top)
  • Antec Spot Cool on NB/RAM
Performed Mods:
Removed HDD cages for front-mounted dual-rad, replaced the side-panel fan grill with something less restrictive. Front panel fan controller modded from one of the cover bays (Only shows up on a few of the pics, since its new).
The original setup had the 120mm rad on the rear of the case rather on the top, and the dual-rad was top mounted. This lead to pipe clutter, though, so I decided to re-work the loop into the configuration seen here now with the 120mm rad on top and the front-mounted dual-rad.

Nice rig, and sorry for my ignorance, but what's the point of watercooling if you keep 9 fans? Wasn't silence the main goal of WC? Or is it just overclocking the sht out of it regardless of how? ;)

Mid 40C under Prime95 load at the 4.05Ghz settings.

Some people WC for silence. I WC for temps. Summers over here are hot as heck. Noise isn't that much of a concern for me.

Right.
I thought so too but when you have the world hotest vga HD4870x2 and oced cpu i3 @4,3GHz you want to put some vents - at least three to push hot air through radiator at least 7V.
Then you have a silence and the noisiest component is a pump. All that with case opened :)
So I think when you get an optimum performance - silence setup then you could be satisfied.

Updated with my new self-built fan controller - It can be seen in the last two pics.

I used Scythe blue LED fans that come with individual VRs, and I modded one of the bay covers to hold 'em. That's it.

Updated the rig a bit with a pic of the new WB. The TR XWB-01 dropped temps by 2c at idle and 4-5c under load as compared to the crappy TT Acrylic block.
