The FirePro D700 was a professional graphics card by AMD, launched on January 18th, 2014. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Tahiti graphics processor, in its Tahiti XT GL variant, the card supports DirectX 12. The Tahiti graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 352 mm² and 4,313 million transistors. It features 2048 shading units, 128 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs. AMD has paired 6 GB GDDR5 memory with the FirePro D700, which are connected using a 384-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 850 MHz, memory is running at 1370 MHz (5.5 Gbps effective). Being a dual-slot card, its power draw is rated at 274 W maximum. Display outputs include: 6x mini-DisplayPort 1.2, 1x SDI. FirePro D700 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 interface. The card measures 279 mm in length, and features a dual-slot cooling solution.
