The Radeon Pro W6800X Duo is an enthusiast-class professional graphics card by AMD, launched on August 3rd, 2021. Built on the 7 nm process, and based on the Navi 21 graphics processor, in its Navi 21 Pro-XLA variant, the card supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. The Navi 21 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 520 mm² and 26,800 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked Radeon RX 6900 XT, which uses the same GPU but has all 5120 shaders enabled, AMD has disabled some shading units on the Radeon Pro W6800X Duo to reach the product's target shader count. Radeon Pro W6800X Duo combines two graphics processors to increase performance. It features 3840 shading units, 240 texture mapping units, and 96 ROPs, per GPU. The card also has 60 raytracing acceleration cores. AMD has paired 64 GB GDDR6 memory with the Radeon Pro W6800X Duo, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface per GPU (each GPU manages 32,768 MB). The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1800 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1967 MHz, memory is running at 2000 MHz (16 Gbps effective). The AMD Radeon Pro W6800X Duo uses Apple's MPX form factor, which is a proprietary interface design that combines a traditional PCI-Express x16 slot with a second custom-Apple connector, to provide additional data bandwidth and power delivery capability. The MPX slot is backwards compatible with classic PCI-Express x16 cards, which may be installed in the PCIe slot part of MPX. Separate power cables are not required, power draw is rated at 400 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x HDMI 2.1, 4x Thunderbolt. The card measures 267 mm in length, 120 mm in width, and features a quad-slot cooling solution. Its price at launch was 4999 US Dollars.
