The Voodoo5 5000 PCI was a graphics card by 3dfx, that was never released. Built on the 250 nm process, and based on the VSA-100 graphics processor, in its Napalm 26-220 variant, the card supports DirectX 6.0. Since Voodoo5 5000 PCI does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The VSA-100 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 112 mm² and 14 million transistors. Voodoo5 5000 PCI combines two graphics processors to increase performance. It features 2 pixel shaders and 0 vertex shaders, 2 texture mapping units, and 2 ROPs, per GPU. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). 3dfx has paired 32 MB SDR memory with the Voodoo5 5000 PCI, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface per GPU (each GPU manages 16 MB). The GPU is operating at a frequency of 166 MHz, memory is running at 166 MHz.
Being a single-slot card, the 3dfx Voodoo5 5000 PCI draws power from 1x Molex power connector, with power draw rated at 30 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x VGA. Voodoo5 5000 PCI is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI interface.
