The FirePro V4900 was a professional graphics card by AMD, launched on November 1st, 2011. Built on the 40 nm process, and based on the Turks graphics processor, in its Turks XT GL variant, the card supports DirectX 11.2. The Turks graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 118 mm² and 716 million transistors. It features 480 shading units, 24 texture mapping units, and 8 ROPs. AMD has paired 1,024 MB GDDR5 memory with the FirePro V4900, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 800 MHz, memory is running at 1000 MHz (4 Gbps effective). Being a single-slot card, the AMD FirePro V4900 does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 75 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x DVI, 2x DisplayPort 1.1. FirePro V4900 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 interface. The card measures 163 mm in length, 111 mm in width, and features a single-slot cooling solution.
