With the XMG FUSION 15 and CORE 15, XMG unveils its first 15.3-inch laptops in 16:10 format. The two compact devices, which are very similar except for a few details, differ primarily regarding their CPUs: the FUSION 15 is powered by Intel's Core i9-14900HX or i7-14650HX and either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or 4070, while the CORE 15 combines an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS with an RTX 4060. Apart from that, the gaming laptops, which weigh around 2 kg and are 21.9 mm high, offer a WQXGA display with a brightness of 500 nits and an almost entirely aluminium chassis with a clean and elegant design.

Uptake on AMD's latest generation mobile offerings has been slow and steady to put it mildly, but today TUXEDO Computers, a specialist in Linux notebooks at a range of performance and pricing tiers, has announced pre-orders for their new Sirius 16 gaming laptop. This machine combines AMD's latest generation Ryzen 7 7840HS "Phoenix" APU with a Radeon RX 7600M XT RDNA3 GPU inside a sleek all aluminium chassis design that strives to remain understated while still providing a "sleek gamer look" via programmable RGB keys. ASUS today announced the availability of ProArt Display PA148CTV, a portable 14‑inch FHD monitor with an IPS anti‑glare panel and capacitive 10‑point multitouch. Designed for creators, it is the world's first Calman Verified portable monitor, and it offers 100% sRGB and 100% Rec. 709 colour spaces. ProArt Display PA148CTV is also factory pre‑calibrated with a Delta E < 2 colour difference for exceptional colour accuracy. The ASUS Dial and Virtual Control Panel are designed to work with compatible Adobe software[1], providing users with controls and shortcuts to streamline their workflow. Users can download the beta version of ASUS Dial and Virtual Control Panel from the ASUS website. In addition, ProArt Display PA148CTV has a user‑friendly design and includes one micro HDMI and two USB‑C ports, an adjustable metal kickstand, and a tripod socket.

ASUS unveiled the ProArt PA278CV, a 27-inch professional monitor for creative work at native 1440p resolution (no dpi upscaling). Its planar IPS panel packs some serious chops for creators—100% sRGB and Rec. 709 coverage, Calman Verified for ΔE <2 color accuracy factory-calibration. Designed for the latest generation of display connectivity, the PA278CV supports USB-C (DisplayPort passthrough) with 65 W power-delivery, so you can use a single cable for both power and display I/O.

In addition, you get an HDMI 1.4 and two DisplayPort 1.2 ports that support daisy-chaining. Other key display specs include 178° viewing angles, 75 Hz refresh rate with VESA Adaptive Sync support, 5 ms (GTG) response time, 350 cd/m² brightness, and 1000:1 static contrast ratio. The display is TÜV Rhineland-certified for flicker-free brightness adjustment, and low blue-light. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Eluktronics today announced the first world laptops equipped with high quality IPS, 1440p, high refresh rate laptops. The new laptops feature displays built by BOE, and current estimates place panel costs for these 1440p panels at just $50 higher than comparable 1080p panels. The panels offer a maximum brightness of 318 nits (so no HDR capability at least for now), but also offer 100% sRGB coverage and 87% Adobe RGB coverage.

Eluktronics is offering three distinct laptops with the new panels: the Mech-15 G3 QHD, Max-15 HQD, and Max7-17 QHD. All of these are based on Intel platforms powered by a Core i7-10870H processor. Currently, the only graphics card option is the NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER (there is no RTX 2080 SUPER option). Prices range from $2,199 to $2,299, and Eluktronics is currently running a promo which shaves $300 off the price with code BFQHD. Eluktronics says these will ship before Christmas. It remains to be seen whether AMD-based options will be introduced as well as when will the graphics card options be updated.
