TYAN Launches Intel Xeon E-2300 Processor-based Server Platform

ASUSTOR Launches AS-T10G2 10 Gigabit Ethernet Card

The all-new AS-T10G2 is here, bringing increased efficiency and speeds to the much beloved AS-T10G. The AS-T10G2 uses the AQC-107 controller, which offers increased performance, and lower power requirements. Using the Lockerstor 16R Pro, transfer rates were found to be up to 1127 MB/s when reading and 1124 MB/s when writing. The AS-T10G2 also supports IP, TCP, UDP checksum offload to reduce CPU usage for a more efficient experience.

QNAP Launches Dual 10 GbE Network Card for NAS & PC

QNAP Systems, Inc., today launched the new QXG-10G2T-X710 10 GbE network expansion card. Apple Updates M1 Mac Mini with 10 GbE Upgrade Option

Apple has quietly added a new M1 Mac Mini configuration option to their website with an optional upgrade from the internal 1 Gbps Ethernet to 10 Gbps Ethernet at the time of purchase for 100 USD. The upgrade is only available as a factory option and cannot be added after purchase so those who require 10 GbE will want to purchase the upgrade at the time of purchase. For existing M1 Mac Mini owners it is possible to get 10 GbE with a USB 4 / Thunderbolt 3 dongle such as the OWC Thunderbolt 3 10G which retails for 149 USD. Why Apple has only just now decided to include this 10 GbE upgrade as an option and not with the original launch is unknown.

ASUS Intros RT-AX89X AX6000 Gaming Router with Dual 10GbE Ports

ASUS today introduced the RT-AX89X, a massive, arachnid-looking, high-end gaming router with no less than 8 antennae. Its WLAN component is as impressive as its wired networking one. On the WLAN side, you get an 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) set up with up to 4,804 Mbps over the 5 GHz band + up to 1,300 Mbps over the 2.4 GHz band, adding up to 6,104 Mbps in dual-band mode. Even over the older 802.11ac standard, the router offers up to 4,333 Mbps (5 GHz) + 1,000 Mbps (2.4 GHz). The WLAN component offers the latest security features, including WPA3-Personal and WPA2-Enterprise.

The wired networking setup of the ASUS RT-AX89X includes two 10 GbE uplinks, one 1 GbE WAN uplink, and eight 1 GbE LAN downlinks. The 10 GbE ports can be individually reconfigured as LAN downlinks. Also on offer are two 5 Gbps USB 3.1 type-A ports that can take in USB cellular Internet dongles, and USB mass-storage devices, such as flash drives, external storage devices, etc. The company didn't mention the router's signal strength in dBi, but rates it for "very large homes." The company didn't reveal pricing.

QNAP Introduces New QM2 PCIe Cards to Enhance NAS Performance
