Scythe Announces Mark III Revision of its Kotetsu CPU Cooler
Scythe is set to release the latest iteration of its long running series of Kotetsu CPU coolers, the "Mark III." The Japanese cooling specialists have revised the compact heatsink design in order to maximize performance. A densely spaced array of 0.4 mm aluminium fins surrounds four 6 mm diameter copper heat pipes. These are connected to a large nickel-plated copper 40x40 mm base plate. Aesthetic improvements include a black top cover with a sleek looking anodized brushed metal finish.
The new generation Kaze Flex II 120 mm PWM fan completes the package. It boasts impressive technical capabilities, and is capable of operating between 200 - 1500RPM, with a maximum air flow of 67.62 CFM and 1.5 mmH2O of static pressure. Its highly optimized frame design and anti-vibration rubber padding allows for excellent air flow combined with low-noise operation. The High Precision FDB system ensures a long operating lifespan of up to 120,000 hours. Scythe's upgraded Retention System Ver. 5 allows for a wide range of compatible CPU socket types.
