Thermalright Intros Silver Arrow ITX-R Rev A CPU Cooler

Thermalright today introduced the Silver Arrow ITX-R Rev A, a compact dual aluminium fin-stack CPU cooler with a low footprint, designed for maximum clearance around the CPU socket area, making it ideal for Mini-ITX tower gaming PC builds. A revision of the original Silver Arrow ITX-R from 2017, the new Rev A comes with a slightly smaller aluminium fins toward the bottoms of the fin-stacks, which reduce the heatsink's weight by 30 g, but improve clearance around the CPU socket. Thermalright also took the opportunity to update the included fan, which is now a TY-129B. This 130 mm spinner tuns between 600 to 1,500 RPM, compared to the 300-1,300 RPM range of the original TY-129 that the original Silver Arrow ITX-R comes with. The heatsink measures 155 mm x 103 mm x 147 mm (LxWxH), weighing 630 g. Thermalright claims that the cooler can handle thermal loads of up to 240 W. Among the CPU socket types supported are AM4, LGA1200, LGA115x, and LGA2066. The company didn't reveal pricing.

ID Cooling Also Showcases Its Air Cooler Lineup at COMPUTEX 2018

ID Cooling at COMPUTEX took the opportunity to showcase its air cooling solutions under the particularly flattering lighting in the venue. The highest performance air cooler on show was their SE-207 dual tower cooler, a tried and true design in the air of tower coolers, with a 7x copper heatpipe design moving heat from the copper base to the nickel-plated fin array, which then sees its heat being discharged with the help of two 120 mm fans. The SE-214 RGB features RGB lighting, but has a single, slim tower design with direct heatpipe technology on its four heatpipes. There's a 130 mm fan design, which is very likely better than a 120 mm one (one hopes).

Their SE214-L tower cooler carries three different design philosophies, the Snow Edition, alongside the -W, and -R suffixes (which stand for the color of the LED lighting). The differentiation here is mostly done via the fan lighting, with the same 4-heatpipe design and 130 mm fan. All of these tower cooler designs have universal compatibility with both Intel and AMD platforms.

ID-Cooling Intros SE-214RGB CPU Cooler

ID-Cooling today introduced the SE-214RGB, a variant of the SE-214C launched last year. The new model features an all-black aluminium fin-stack, and an RGB multi-color LED-illuminated fan. It also bears striking resemblance to the recently launched Ben Nevis Advanced RGB, which reveals that ID-Cooling is Alpenföhn's OEM for the cooler. The cooler retains the design of the original SE-214C, in featuring an offset aluminium fin-stack to which heat drawn from the CPU by four 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes making direct contact, us fed along various points, while a spinal rod that passes through the center of the stack adds stability.

The off-center fin-stack design enhanced clearance near the memory area of your motherboard. The included 130 mm fan features four RGB diodes embedded into the inner walls of the frame, and a white impeller, which acts as a diffuser. It takes in 4-pin PWM input, spins between 500 to 1,800 RPM, pushing up to 69.5 CFM of air, with a noise output ranging between 14.2 to 30.6 dBA. Measuring 130 mm x 74 mm x 159 mm (WxDxH), the cooler weighs about 680 g (including fan). It supports most modern CPU socket types, including AM4, AM3(+), FM2(+), LGA2066, LGA2011(v3), and LGA115x. The company didn't reveal pricing.

ID-Cooling Shows Multiple Air and Liquid Cooling Solutions at Computex 2017

ID-Cooling went on to Computex to showcase not only their air and liquid cooling solutions (for which they're really known for), but also to showcase systems fully equipped with the company's cooling portfolio (those are bonuses to the displayed at the end of this piece, though.)

Starting with the essence of life, ID-Cooling showcased their Frostflow+ 120, 240, and 280 products (whose numbering and naming scheme, as you might have guessed, inform the length of the radiator employed.) Their Frostflow+ 280 solution is certainly the most interesting, if only because of the usage of two PWM-controlled 140 mm fans to cool a 280 mm radiator. There's "premium sleeved tubing" here, as well as a high performance water pump design (but aren't they all). The Frostflow+ 240 is a more mundane, dual 120 mm fan solution, which nevertheless keeps all the features from the more premium (and better-performing) 280. The Frostflow+ 120 makes do with a "solid built" 120 mm radiator, and is apparently the only solution to incorporate any kind of LED lighting - namely, white in the pump cover. All fo these water cooling solutions are universally compatible with both Intel and AMD systems. All the units make use of a copper plate to make contact with your central processing unit of choice.
