Alphacool Eisbaer 420 Liquid CPU Cooler Pictured

Here are some of the first pictures of Alphacool Eisbaer 420, a closed-loop AIO liquid CPU cooler by one of the few manufacturers that doesn't sell re-branded Asetek wares. The cooler is designed for extreme overclocked setups using HEDT processors, and supports upcoming HEDT sockets. The cooler consists of a copper-base pump-block plumbed to a 420 mm x 140 mm full-copper radiator, with three 140 mm fans. One of the coolant tubes has a quick-disconnect fitting.

Alphacool Intros the Eisblock XPX CPU Water Block

Alphacool proudly presents the XPX Eisblock clear and satin versions. As with the other versions of the XPX, Alphacool relies on their specially developed and patented ramp technology. This innovation significantly improves the cooling performance, which has already been shown in tests with the normal Eisblock XPX. It allows the water to flow evenly over all the cooling fins instead of just rushing through the middle section and nearly standing still at the edges. Additionally, the Eisblock XPX boasts a large bottom surface of 34 x 32mm, perfect for CPUs with 8 or more cores, and a very fine fin structure of 0.2mm.

Alphacool is also the first water cooling manufacturer worldwide to dispense with Plexiglas and instead use transparent nylon, the material of the future, for both coolers. Nylon is a much more robust material than Plexiglas, meaning that the danger of cracks in the cooler is drastically reduced. Cracks can occur due to connectors being fastened too tightly or some other uneven strain on the Plexiglas.

Alphacool Debuts its First Compressor Cooler - The $1000 Eiszeit 1500 W

Alphacool is putting its hands on more exquisite - for the CPU cooling market - forms of cooling. The company has now launched their first foray into the compressor-based cooling market, with the Eiszeit 1500 W. As the name suggests, the Eiszeit delivers up to 1500 W cooling capability, much higher than most ordinary cooling solutions can handle. That is a mammoth cooling capacity, equaled by the Eiszeit's weight, which comes in at 29 Kg. But neither of these figures holds a candle to the Eiszeit's price - 960€, or around $1000.

The Eiszeit makes do with a pump of greater endurance and capacity than the usual D5 or DDC pumps, delivering a maximum flow-rate of 600 liters per hour from its 9-liter reservoir. The Eiszeit was designed to integrate well with Alphacool's existing cooling solutions. The Eiszeit uses standard G1/4" threads, also making it compatible with most liquid cooling setups in the market. The outgoing water temperature can be adjusted in 0.3 degrees Kelvin increments through the front display. There is also a built-in alarm, as well as a normal function indicator. The Eiszeit also features a convenient alarm for when temperatures fluctuate outside the normal parameters or when flow rate drops below a set minimum threshold.

Alphacool Presents the "Eislicht," a Revolution in Illumination

Alphacool presents the next step in modding and style. With the "Eislicht" , Alphacool is introducing a brand new technology into the field of case illumination.

Installing lighting into PCs started many years ago with cathode tubes. They had a pleasant, even glow, but were rather chunky and difficult to integrate into a system. Their lifespan was also a lot shorter than today's LEDs.

The latter are state of the art today, and the world of modding can hardly be imagined without them. They're easy to install, don't use a lot of power, give off very little heat, and their lifespan is very long. However, their illumination is rather piecemeal and often looks awkward due to the many individual LEDs.

Alphacool Presents the Eiswand Water Cooling Set

Alphacool presents the Eiswand ("Ice Wall"), a water cooling set for your CPU that can also be expanded on through its two quick-release connectors. For example, you could add one of the prefilled graphics card coolers in the Eiswolf GPX-Pro series, which would even add an extra pump to your system. You can find a fitting graphics card cooler using the configurator at www.hwconfig.com.

The Eiswand itself has two DC-LT low noise pumps built into its illuminated bottom. Even in the unlikely case that one of the two pumps fails, the cooling loop will continue to operate with only a marginal decrease in cooling performance. This means the Eiswand offers you enormous system stability.

The core component of the Eiswand is the 360mm full-copper radiator, which is equipped with six Eiswind fans. The fans' Push&Pull configuration gives you optimal cooling power. You can also use a Silent Adapter to severely restrict the pumps and fans, lowering the volume even more. Cooling power is only slightly reduced with the adapter.

Alphacool Showcases its Eiswand 360 CPU AIO External Cooling System

At CES 2017, Alphacool showcased their external, AIO cooling solution for all your CPU cooling needs. What's really interesting about this solution is that it's fully external (barring the cooling tubes), meaning that no amount of heat will be dissipated inside your computer case, which should, in turn, improve overall temperatures in your system's components. And it also stands as a solution for users whose PC case doesn't support a 360mm radiator.

A 360mm XT45 Copper radiator makes up the bulk of the Eiswand. A total of six 700 RPM Eiswand Fans set up in a push-pull configuration keep the system cool, with two DC-LT Low noise ceramic pumps act as the Eiswand's heart, with universal socket compatibility guaranteeing you can use it in your system. The Eiswand also features a LED base that lights-up blue when powered.

AlphaCool Announces the Eisblock XPX CPU Block

The Alphacool Eisblock XPX cooler is the newest innovation in the CPU cooler field, developed by Alphacool. The XPX cooler's performance has gotten a major upgrade compared to its predecessor, the NexXxoS XP3. This was only possible because Alphacool completely re-developed the Eisblock XPX cooler from the ground up. For one, the fin structure was refined to 0.2 mm and the fin count raised to 81 fins.

This makes for a much larger cooling surface through which water can flow. In order to ensure the water is evenly distributed over the cooling fins, Alphacool developed and patented the "Ramp". It ensures there is no turbulence in the water flow over cooling fins, which would lead to uneven water distribution over the cooling fins. Alphacool also used a double distributor to ensure less resistance. Paired with the ramp, this means the pump pressure plays little to no role in the performance of the cooler. You can turn the pump power down and run your system even more quietly without losing any cooling power.

Alphacool Intros Eiswolf GPX-Pro Liquid VGA Cooling Solutions

The Alphacool Eiswolf GPX-Pro cooler is the first expandable All in One water cooler for graphics cards in the world. Through its quick-release fasteners, the Eiswolf can be expanded with any desired additional components and even attached to the world-renowned Alphacool Eisbaer, an expandable All in One solution for processors.

Alphacool is still running its "Send in your GPU and get one cooler for free" promotion for the Eiswolf GPX-Pro, however there will be a small surcharge for the PRO edition. There will be an additional 20 Euro charge for the cooler itself, or if you prefer the GPX Pro AIO cooler, an additional 50 Euro charge would apply. The standard GPX cooler will continue to be no charge for this campaign.

Alphacool Unveils the Eisbrecher Radiator Series

With the Eisbrecher, Alphacool is introducing a new generation of radiators. The Eisbrecher radiators were designed specifically for silent operation and perform especially well when paired with slow-revolving fans. This makes the Eisbrecher ideal for anyone looking to build a quiet system.

The radiator core is made completely of copper, as usual for Alphacool, and the outer parts are made of aluminium. Both sides of the radiator have a honeycomb grille, under which lies the radiator's truly innovative technology. The A.B.M., or air breaker mat, ensures even distribution of fresh air to the radiator. On normal radiators, the spaces underneath the fan hub and in the corners are dead spots with barely any air circulation. The A.B.M. works like a fan shroud and breaks up the incoming air so it circulates to every area. Because of the more even distribution of air, especially with slow-revolving fans, performance is greatly increased.

Alphacool Announces the Aurora LED Ring

Following Alphacool's motto of "The next step in modding and style", the Aurora is an easy way to illuminate your reservoir with powerful colour. Versions are available in red, blue, green, white and also UV. This last one is especially suited to UV-active fluids, where the fluid itself begins to glow.

Two sizes are available, one for tube reservoirs with a diameter of 50 and one version for 60mm. The 50mm version is equipped with 18 LEDs, the 60mm with 24 LEDs. Due to the high number of LEDs, the illumination is normally much stronger than with the classic setup of single LEDs. Of course, you can also install two or more Auroras on one reservoir.

AlphaCool Presents 34 New Eiszapfen Series Liquid Cooling Fittings

The Eiszapfen high-end product series from Alphacool is growing exponentially today. After the launch of a whole battery of new products like new expansion tanks, quick fasteners, ball valves, and tops for D5 and DDC pumps, it was only a matter of time until Alphacool also added new connectors to the Eis-family.

The new connectors are called Eiszapfen (Icicle). The complete line offers a high-quality and state-of-the-art outer finish for a better overall aesthetic in the connectors. The chrome-plated connectors have a strong, attractive glossy shine, while the black connectors come in a classy matte finish. In order to give the complete look that finishing touch, the connectors have been lacquered inside as well. This way any unattractive colour transitioning is completely gone.

Alphacool Announces Eiszapfen Quick-connect Couplings

Alphacool's new quick connect couplers with the name "Eiszapfen" are the next block in the "Eis" series. High quality and impressive features makes any watercooling system back to a piece of high-quality and practical. A quick coupling is used everywhere where expandability, flexibility and cleanness play an important role. These compact couplings have a 1/4 "thread on both sides with which they are compatible with all standard connections.

By pulling down the outer ring these couplings can be disconnected. Both sides close immediately completely tight so that no water can escape. Thanks to the special N.D.S.L. Technology (no drip, no splash, no leak) a leak, drip or splash out of the water on opening the lock is excluded. By assembling again, both sides must click into each other audibly and shut themselves tightly by a double O-ring, which is simply compressed when plugged together. Likewise, the mechanism was designed for durability to ensure a secure connection even years.

Alphacool Announces the X-Flow Series Radiators

Alphacool expands the extensive range of products in the area radiators to a completely new line: the X-Flow. Thus Alphacool completes its product range with a high-flow series with special characteristics without loosing the known and popular virtues of previous NexXxoS series. On the contrary, you build continuously on top of the positive things and offer the customer additional possibilities to create his own water-cooling circle.

The X-Flow series is fully optimized for high flow. In contrast to conventional radiators, the water does not flow into the U-shape through the radiator, but uses the entire width of the channels to flow from one side to the other side of the radiator. It is hardly any resistance within the radiator, what gives guarantee for a high flow. In the meantime, many cases offers assembly areas in whitch radiators can stand upright. Traditional radiators you can hardly bleed useful in such a position. The water is barely capable to press down the air within the radiator what will always be the case of a U-shaped water circulation in an upright position. In the X-flow radiators, this is not the case. If you use the inlet at the lower end, the air is easily pushed out over the top outlet. This eliminates almost all venting problems at radiators.

Alphacool Intros Eisplateau Anti-Static Work Mat for Liquid Cooling Enthusiasts

The Alphacool Eisplateau is the perfect base for any modder or do-it-yourselfer. The antistatic mat provides more than enough space for your projects with a phenomenal size of 120x60cm. Additionally, you'll find a wide range of information on the mat such as the size of all connections, radiators, fans and pumps. The size of the drawings is depicted at a scale of 1:1 which will definitely enhance the quality of your work. We even added a printed measure tape at the bottom of the mat for you to finally get rid of that unhandy ruler and to directly measure on the mat. We even further added small clips at the top mid and bottom right for you to attach the antistatic wristband - which, obviously, is included in the package.

Alphacool Intros Eisdecken Top for D5 and DDC Pumps

Alphacool proudly presents the new family members "Eisdecken": A new top for the D5 and one for the DCC pump. Additionally comes a new reservoir which suits well with either of the new two TOP's. The diamond cut further improves the design in any system the combination is used in. The compact measurements enable great compatibility even with smaller computer cases. The overall height including the mounted reservoir (which can easily be mounted on each of the TOP's) is 13.3 cm for the D5 and 12.1 cm for the DCC. If you'd choose to go for an alternative reservoir you can even get the height down to 8,6cm for the D5 and 7.5 cm for the DCC.

Both of these TOP's have their feet on solid ground with easy-to-mount screwable feet. You can furthermore decide which edition you'd love to go for: We have them in either Acetal or as Plexi - the choice is yours. And to top that you can even add up to four LED's to the Plexi edition to even further increase the illumination of this masterpiece.

Alphacool Announces its GPU Cooler Customization Service

Alphacool International GmbH, Germany announces the launch of the custom GPU service. For many years Alphacool has noticed a gap in the market for watercooling solutions for lower end or nonreference designed graphics cards. Until recently the high cost of developing specialised full cover watercooling blocks has forced manufacturers to focus only on producing blocks for the higher end cards. With new patented technology Alphacool have the ability to fill this gap in the market by producing full cover waterblocks for any non-reference or lower end graphics card.

The cooler comprises of three parts shown in the image below. Firstly the waterblock is designed around the 'core only' concept but is used in conjunction with the custom made base plate that is made specifically for each type of GPU ensuring the perfect fit. A custom made back plate is also included in the package at no extra cost.

German Reseller Stakes Claim to Several Brand Names, Targets Competitors

In EU, a land that worships fair market practices, that recently booked two of the biggest names in the IT industry (Intel, Microsoft) for anti-competitive market malpractices, and penalized them for billions of Dollars, one would expect high standards of business practices. Apparently one has to peel the onion to find it's not all that fresh inside. Aquatuning, a German reseller has found an interesting way of locking its competitors out, of pretty much everything it does. The store deals in high-performance PC component cooling products, such as water-cooling components. In order to make sure nobody else in the country sells what it does, the company is registering the brands its sells, under its own name.

Alphacool Rolls Out New Intel Socket CPU Water Blocks

German cooling specialist Alphacool released two new CPU water blocks that boast support for all existing and upcoming Intel sockets, the HF 14 series. Its two members are Livingstone and Yellowstone. While both have an identical retention mechanism design, the block design itself is where the differences lie. The Livingstone uses a bilateral-symmetric design, while for the Yellowstone block, the inlet is positioned in the center, to gush right onto the heat-exchange fins.

The company is yet to publish data-sheets for the water blocks, so we could tell you more, though they have been listed on the company store. The Livingstone block sells for 59.95 €, while the Yellowstone is priced significantly higher at 74.95 €. Both blocks support Intel LGA-775, LGA-1366 and promise support for the upcoming LGA-1160/LGA-1156 socket. Pictured below, in order are Livingstone and Yellowstone (red RM brace).
