Corsair MP600 PCI-Express 4.0 SSD is now up for Preorder - $250 for 1 TB

First seen at Computex this year, Corsair seems to be first to market with a PCI-Express x4 Gen 4 SSD. Amazon Japan has the Corsair MP600 listed now for pre-order, with a "July 13" release date - it was also listed on Amazon US earlier today, but the product page has vanished since then. Corsair's MP600 SSD comes in capacities of 1 TB and 2 TB, and will be priced at $250 for the 1 TB version, and $450 for the 2 TB model. With PCIe 4.0, the bandwidth per pin is once again doubled over what 3.0 offered. According to Corsair, the MP600 SSD will reach up to 4.95 GB/s sequential write speed and up to 4.25 GB/s sequential read. Like most other PCI-E Gen 4 SSDs that we saw at Computex, the MP600 is based on Phison's PS5016-E16 controller and uses 3D TLC NAND memory.

Update Jul 1st: The drive is now listed at Amazon US, release date is "July 1st", so today: MP600 1 TB ($249.99) and 2 TB ($449.99). It is sold and shipped by Amazon itself.

The HS35's great audio quality is paired with a fully-detachable unidirectional microphone that reduces ambient noise, so your team always hears your critical calls, and is Discord-certified for reliable, crystal-clear communication.

Corsair MP600 PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD Pricing Out

It looks like SSD manufacturers such as Corsair will price some of the first M.2 PCIe gen 4.0 NVMe SSDs at a premium compared to existing drives that use PCIe gen 3.0. The company on the sidelines of Computex launched its MP600 series of high-end M.2 SSDs that take advantage of PCI-Express 4.0 x4 bus (64 Gbps) on the upcoming AMD "Valhalla" desktop platform, with up to 4950 MB/s of sequential read speeds. Ahead of their market availability alongside AMD Ryzen 3000 "Matisse" processors and AMD X570 chipset motherboards on July 7th, Cowcotland scored prices of the 1 TB and 2 TB models in Europe.

According to the French publication, the 1 TB variant of MP600 is priced at 249€ (0.24€ per GB), and the 2 TB variant at 449€ (0.22€ per GB), including VAT. To put these prices into perspective, the 960 GB variant of Corsair's current flagship SSD, the MP510, is priced at 160€, and its 1920 GB variant at 320€. Stateside, the Intel 660p 1 TB PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 NVMe drive is priced at $99.99 on Newegg, although it isn't generally counted as a premium SSD. Its 2 TB variant is priced at $192 on the same site. Nearly all client-segment PCIe gen 4.0 SSDs launched so far are built around the new Phison PS5016-E16 controller.

Corsair Recalls Some H100i RGB Platinum SE Coolers Over Faulty Plumbing

Corsair issued a product recall notice to customers and retailers to return their Hydro Series H100i RGB Platinum SE all-in-one liquid closed-loop liquid CPU coolers, because the coolers aren't all that "closed loop." Corsair reports that coolers belonging to a particular manufacturing lot show signs of faulty seals of the tubing, which causes the coolant to leak between the tubes and sleeves. "We discovered that less than 1% of Hydro Series H100i RGB PLATINUM SE coolers sold to date are leaking small amounts of coolant into the hose sleeving. These leaks are easy to spot, as the sleeving is white, and coolant is bright green," the notice reads. To spot if your cooler is one from the bad lot, pay attention to its 12-digit serial number. Digits 5 thru 8 denote the manufacturing lot, and if it happens to read "1852," it belongs to the bad lot. Corsair invites customers with these faulty coolers to claim free replacements, including shipping.

CORSAIR Hydro X Custom Watercooling Parts Up at Swiss Retailer + Visual Impressions

When we first had a glance of the CORSAIR Hydro X custom watercooling loop parts in action, we suspected they might have a CES debut. CES has come and gone since, with no word of the company's entry into this field. Their direct competitors, including Phanteks and Thermaltake, have since added to their respective product portfolios comprising fans, water blocks, coolants and radiators. Perhaps CORSAIR wanted the launch to not be overshadowed by the other product launches at the recent trade show, and perhaps the listings of the Hydro X products on Digitech.ch is a sign of things to come sooner than later. Read past the break for a more in-depth discussion on the various parts listed, based on our experience with this industry as a whole.

Corsair is readying mostly-white variants of its LL120 RGB case fans. A variant of the LL120 from 2017, the LL120 RGB White features an all-white frame with contrasting black frame rubber inserts, a white silicone diffuser along the bore of the frame with 16 addressable RGB LEDs, a pearl-white finish impeller, and a contrasting black impeller hub sticker. The fan takes in 4-pin PWM input to do its job, and a 3-pin addressable RGB input for its lighting. It spins at speeds of up to 2,200 RPM, pushing up to 63 CFM of air, at a noise output of up to 36 dBA. It has a rated lifespan of 40,000 hours. Corsair is selling the LL120 RGB White in individual packs, and 3-fan packs with an added iCUE RGB LED controller. The two go on sale on the 15th of February.

Corsair Hydro H100i Platinum SE Liquid CPU Cooler Pictured

Corsair is giving final touches to the mostly-white Platinum SE variants of its Hydro H100-series all-in-one liquid CPU coolers. Pictured here is the H100i Platinum SE, a variant of the original Platinum H100i Platinum launched last November. What's interesting is the level of whitewashing Corsair has done to the cooler. Not only is the radiator frame white, but also the radiator fins. The fiber-weave sheath around the coolant tubes are white, too. White also dominates the fan frames and impellers. There are some interesting contrasting black bits such as the main body of the pump-block, its crown, and the vibration dampening mounts, not to mention the included screws. Corsair is expected to launch these coolers on the 15th of February.

Corsair Carbide 275Q Silent Mid-tower Generally Available

Corsair over the last week sneaked in a variant of its Carbide 275 mid-tower chassis that comes with noise-reduction, the Carbide 275Q. The new model is generally available on Amazon for USD $89.99, a $20 premium over the original that features tempered glass panels. Much of the premium isn't just toward the noise-dampening, but also the included 5-channel fan-controller. The Carbide 275Q features noise-absorbing foam along the inner walls of its side panels, which are now opaque matte-black. Much like the original, the 275Q features three 120 mm front fan intakes that guide air through the top and rear exhausts. You get room for graphics cards up to 37 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 17 cm in height. You still get two vertical expansion slots in addition to 7 normally located slots, even though there's no window to show off your graphics card. The rest of its features are carried over from the original.

Add the Finishing Touch with a Host of New Premium PC Accessories from CORSAIR

CORSAIR, a world leader in PC gaming peripherals and enthusiast components, today announced the availability of a wide range of new PC enthusiast accessories to help complete the look of a custom PC: CORSAIR Premium Individually Sleeved PSU Cables, Premium Sleeved Front Panel Extension Kit, Premium Sleeved SATA Cable, Premium PCIe 3.0 x16 Extension Cable, and TM30 Performance Thermal Paste. From custom paracord cables available in a range of colors, to flexible PCIe mounting and dependable thermal paste, the new range of accessories are the perfect way to build and complete a stunning professional-looking custom PC.

Corsair Releases Its First Thermal Paste Solution: The TM30

Corsair has released their first own-branded thermal paste solution, which joins the already dozens of products on the market. Thermal paste (or any sort of TIM - Thermal Interface Material) essentially serves to increase thermal conductivity between two surfaces, such as your CPU and your cooler's heatsink.

Corsair says the TM30 thermal paste they've released features low viscosity (needed to fully penetrate microscopic abrasions in the interfaced materials and pushing low-conductivity air out), and is based on a zinc-oxide compound. Corsair say TM30 offers up to 6º of cooler operation compared to the admittedly ambiguous "common thermal paste". Corsair also said that TM30 can and will last for years without drying, cracking, or change in consistency, thus ensuring a long lifespan in the best thermal conductivity conditions possible. Corsair's TM30 is available for €6.90 / $7.98 per syringe. Sadly, quantities aren't mentioned.
