SilentiumPC today introduced the Navis Pro series all-in-one, closed-loop liquid CPU coolers. These coolers are available in two models based on radiator size, the Navis Pro 120 (120 mm x 120 mm radiator), and the Navis Pro 240 (240 mm x 120 mm radiator). What sets this cooler apart is a unique 9-pole pump motor that keeps the noise output of the pump-block under 15 dBA at all times.

The included Sigma HPE fans come with fluid-dynamic bearings for high endurance, and spin between 800 to 2,300 RPM, pushing up to 74 CFM of air, with a noise output as low as 22 dBA, each. The pump-block has a rated MTBF of 80,000 hours. Most common CPU socket types are supported, including AM4, AM3(+), FM2(+), LGA2066, LGA2011(v3), and LGA115x. Backed by 5-year warranties, the Navis Pro 120 is priced at 55€, and the Navis Pro 240 at 75€.

The UK based independent game publisher, The Irregular Corporation, is pleased to announce that RAIJINTEK, PC hardware manufacturer, have joined the PC Building Simulator project as a partner. At launch, players will have the option to build PCs in-game using RAIJINTEK's popular range of air and liquid coolers plus an assortment of cases, all, lovingly recreated using 3D graphics and fully functional within the simulation.

Jonsbo introduced the CR-601 RGB tower-type CPU cooler. Featuring a slim, yet conventional tower-type design, the cooler is characterized by 256-color RGB LED illumination on both its included fan, and the fin-stack cover, through a diffuser. Its design involves an aluminium base, from which four 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes pass, making direct contact with the CPU, conveying heat through the aluminium fin-stack, which is then ventilated by a 120 mm fan.

The included fan features an air-flow boosting impeller design, which lets its designers keep fan-speeds lower to achieve the desired air-flow. Taking in 4-pin PWM input, the fan spins between 800 and 1,500 RPM, with its noise output proportionately ranging between 17.5 and 31.2 dBA. The cooler can handle thermal loads of up to 130W. It supports most mainstream-desktop CPU socket types, including AM4, AM3(+), FM2(+), LGA115x, and LGA775. The company didn't reveal pricing.

ID-Cooling today introduced the SE-214RGB, a variant of the SE-214C launched last year. The new model features an all-black aluminium fin-stack, and an RGB multi-color LED-illuminated fan. It also bears striking resemblance to the recently launched Ben Nevis Advanced RGB, which reveals that ID-Cooling is Alpenföhn's OEM for the cooler. The cooler retains the design of the original SE-214C, in featuring an offset aluminium fin-stack to which heat drawn from the CPU by four 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes making direct contact, us fed along various points, while a spinal rod that passes through the center of the stack adds stability.

The off-center fin-stack design enhanced clearance near the memory area of your motherboard. The included 130 mm fan features four RGB diodes embedded into the inner walls of the frame, and a white impeller, which acts as a diffuser. It takes in 4-pin PWM input, spins between 500 to 1,800 RPM, pushing up to 69.5 CFM of air, with a noise output ranging between 14.2 to 30.6 dBA. Measuring 130 mm x 74 mm x 159 mm (WxDxH), the cooler weighs about 680 g (including fan). It supports most modern CPU socket types, including AM4, AM3(+), FM2(+), LGA2066, LGA2011(v3), and LGA115x. Akasa today rolled out additions to its coveted Venom line of premium CPU coolers, with the new Venom R10 and Venom R20 all-in-one (AIO) closed-loop liquid CPU coolers. The two are differentiated with radiator sizes, with the R10 featuring a 120 mm x 120 mm radiator, and the R20 a 240 mm x 120 mm. The two are characterized by a pump-block with a groovy RGB multi-color LED studded ornament, which takes input from a standard 4-pin RGB header, and can be controlled with ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, and MSI Mystic Light RGB software.

The ornament features multiple diodes that put light out through a diffuser, and the Akasa Venom logo. The coolers don't include 120 mm fans, you add your own. The pump-block puts out up to two 4-pin PWM fan inputs. The coolers support most common CPU socket types, including AM4, AM3(+), FM2(+), LGA2066, LGA2011(v3), and LGA115x. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Alpenföhn unveiled the Ben Nevis Advanced Black RGB CPU cooler, with market availability set for later this year. This tower-type cooler features an aluminium base from which four 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU to draw heat. These black heatpipes convey heat to the black aluminium fin-stack along the peripheries of the fins, while a central 8 mm-thick heat-pipe dubbed "shock killer pole" spreads heat between the fins, and dampens mechanical shocks. The signature feature of this cooler is an off-set fin-stack progression, which adds to clearance towards the memory area of your motherboard. Even with its fan installed, Alpenföhn promises clearance for the tallest DIMMs installed on the slot closest to the CPU socket.

Another key feature is its large 130 mm fan with RGB LED lighting. Four multi-color LEDs studded into the inner wall of the fan-frame projects light onto the white impeller of the fan. The fan takes in 4-pin PWM input, spins between 500 to 1,500 RPM, pushing up to 95.4 m³h of air, with a noise output ranging between 8 to 25.8 dBA. The cooler is capable of handling thermal loads of up to 150W. Measuring 130 mm x 74 mm x 159 mm (WxDxH), it weighs 630 g (including fan). Raidmax introduced the Cobra RGB line of all-in-one liquid CPU coolers. The line consists of two variants based on radiator size, the Cobra 120 RGB (120 mm x 120 mm radiator), and the Cobra 240 RGB (240 mm x 120 mm radiator). A key feature of these coolers is the fancy pump-block unit, which features a brushed faux-aluminium top, and an RGB multi-color LED diffuser, studded with four 16.8 million color diodes. You can control the color, brightness, and lighting patterns of the RGB LEDs with an included RF remote control. Additionally, you can also plug the block into a standard RGB LED header, and control lighting using ASUS Aura Sync RGB software.

The included 120 mm fans with these coolers, interestingly, lack any LED illumination. Taking in 4-pin PWM input, these fans spin between 500 and 2,000 RPM, pushing up to 88.3 CFM of air, with a noise output of up to 25 dBA. Jonsbo has introduced a somewhat strange product to its lineup - a companion cooler to your graphics card. This cooler isn't meant to be installed directly on your graphics card, as some other aftermarket coolers like the Arctic Cooling Accelero series are; instead, this one is meant to be installed in an expansion slot (and a PCIe x16 at that, of all things) below your graphics card, providing additional cooling to your card's reference or custom cooler.

The VF-1 has an anodized aluminum magnesium alloy enclosure, which features a LED lighting accent towards your side window, and features 3x 80 mm cooling fans that blow air towards your graphics card.The VF-1 apparently operates at 18 dBA with the fans at their maximum 1500 RPM, and uses a SATA power connector instead of a fan header. The VF-1 measures 134 x 270 mm and is 20 mm thick, while the aluminum shroud material itself is 1.2 mm thick. It weighs 372 grams, and for all this, Jonsbo is quoting a 5ºC improvement in your graphics card's operating temperatures, which is... pretty underwhelming.

Arctic is pleased to present its new Freezer 33 PENTA, which is not only visually convincing with its titanium black heat sink and the 120 mm PENTA-style fan, but also delivers a strong cooling performance. The sophisticated fan controller allows passive cooling of the CPU during simple applications. If a higher cooling performance is needed for gaming, the F12 PWM fan starts up at a PWM signal with 40 % pulse width. This saves energy, extends the service life, makes the cooler at low load completely silent and delivers high performance for gaming.

GELID today introduced its Phantom series CPU coolers. Available in two variants, the Phantom (model: CC-Phantom-01-A), featuring a clear chrome finish with all-black fans; and the Phantom Black (model: CC-Phantom-Black-01-A), featuring a black nickel-plating on the aluminium fins and copper heat pipes; the Phantom is a "D-type" dual fin-stack heatsink cooler. From a copper base, seven nickel-plated copper heat-pipes pass, with aluminium fin-stacks along their two ends. The cooler is designed for thermal loads of up to 200W.

The innovation here is in the thickness of these heat pipes. Three of these are 8 mm-thick, and four are 6 mm-thick. The thicker heat pipes pass through the center of the base, while two of the thinner ones pass through the edges, and two of the thinner ones layer up on top of the central heat pipe. The cooler can mount up to three 120 mm fans, although two are included. The included fans take in 4-pin PWM input, spin between 750-1,600 RPM, with a static pressure of up to 2.18 mmAq, and a noise output of 12-26.7 dBA. Measuring 120 mm x 126 mm x 160 mm (WxDxH, minus fans), the cooler weighs a little over 1 kg. Among the CPU sockets it supports are AM4, LGA2066, and LGA115x. The company didn't reveal pricing but mentioned that the coolers will be backed by a 5-year warranty.

Noctua is stocking up inventories of its AMD Ryzen Threadripper-compatible NH-U14S-TR4-SP3 tower-type CPU cooler. A variant of the NH-U14S (pictured below), the cooler will be available from 12th August in the United States, through Noctua's eBay store. Other retailers will have stocks by the end of August. Noctua believes the NH-U14S features sufficient muscle to cope with the 180W TDP Threadripper processors, some of the lower variants come with 140W TDP. The TR4-SP3 variant comes with a slightly enlarged base, for better coverage of the large integrated heatspreaders of the Threadripper chips. The other Threadripper-compatible coolers in Noctua's lineup are the NH-U12S-TR4-SP3, and NH-U9-TR4-SP3.

AMD has published a list of coolers that are officially compatible with their upcoming Threadripper CPUs. It's no surprise there needs to be a compatibility list - the new CPUs top out at 16-core, 32-thread monsters which have never before graced the HEDT space, with an accompanying large CPU die size and heatsink. The socket being an entirely new affair, a new retention kit must also be made available by cooler manufacturers.

AMD itself will be offering an Asetek retention kit for AIO cooling solutions on their Threadripper retail packaging, which should make most Asetek-built AIOs to be compatible with the TR4 socket. These coolers are automatically added to the list. However, there may be some other coolers that are compatible with the newest socket that are not listed on AMD's site as of yet. For those cases, AMD reminds us all that we should check with our cooling solution manufacturer whether an adapter is available or not, and whether our current cooling solution is sufficient for the task at hand. AMD has announced full and immediate retail availability of their Wraith Max cooler through retail channels. The 140 W TDP Wraith Max cooler was previously only available through a bundle with AMD's top of the line Ryzen 7 1700X and 1800X. However, through popular demand, AMD have decided to make that cooler available solo. Ease of installation through AMD's Spring-Screw mechanism, jolly good looks, LED lighting, relatively silent performance (38 dBa) and respectable performance seem to have been enough to convince AMD users.

The Wraith Max cooler is compatible with AMD AM4, AM3+, and FM2 motherboards. The RGB ring's color can be customized through a myriad of RGB control apps from various manufacturers, such as Asus' Aura Sync, Gigabyte's RGB Fusion, MSI's Mystic Light, Biostar's Vivid LED DJ, and ASRock's RGB LED tools. AMD also offers the AMD Wraith Max RGB lighting control software (powered by Cooler Master) as a free download. The Wraith Max comes with both a USB header cable and an RGB LED header to control the lighting feature. A copper base plate and heatpipes, along with pre-applied thermal paste and a 92mm Cooler Master fan. The down-blowing fan also provides an extra bit of cooling for the socket area and VRMs. Perhaps the $59 price-tag will turn some prospective buyers off, but still, this remains the best stock cooler option in the market, and for someone who wants to keep an AMD cooling identity, is the best available option.

After developing the compact, very successful Alphacool HDX M.2 SSD cooler, Alphacool is now expanding its product range with the Eisblock HDX-2 and HDX-3 coolers. Both coolers come with a 4x PCIe card, on which the cooler and SSD are mounted. This has many advantages over mounting directly to the motherboard.

Cooling can be difficult on a motherboard due to space constraints and the location of the graphics card, which is often mounted directly above or beside the motherboard. A PCIe card and cooler give you lots of room to set up a good cooling solution. But why do you need to cool your M.2 SSD? When an M.2 SSD is used continuously and for substantial data transfers, it can heat up so strongly that the drive slows itself down and decreases its performance significantly. This can happen after even a few seconds. The only way to solve this problem is with a good cooling solution.

CRYORIG sweetened the deal for backing its upcoming compact chassis, the Taku, on Kickstarter, by including what it calls the "best ITX-ready CPU air-cooler." The company is including a C7 Cu low-profile CPU cooler for free with each Taku Kickstarter Edition case bound for its backers (by backing the project with at least $299). The C7 Cu is valued at $50.

The C7 Cu is a variant of the C7 low-profile top-flow CPU cooler, which features copper fins instead of aluminium. The cooler can cope with slightly higher thermal loads than its aluminium sibling. The company first showed off the cooler at the 2017 Computex. In addition to this deal, CRYORIG lowered the cost of backing two Taku cases down to $260 per unit (at least $520), which includes two C7 Cu coolers.

GIGABYTE today rolled out the Aorus ATC 700 tower-type CPU cooler. The company had first exhibited this cooler at the 2017 Computex event. Its design involves a large yet conventional tower-type aluminium fin-stack heatsink, to which heat drawn by three 10 mm-thick copper heat pipes, is conveyed to the fin-stack, which is ventilated by a pair of 120 mm fans in push-pull configuration. The heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU at the base.

The topmost aluminium fin is topped off by an ABS shroud with a glowing Aorus logo, which has an RGB LED element that can be controlled using GIGABYTE RGB Fusion software. Each of the two fans takes in 4-pin PWM power input, features double ball-bearings, spins between 500 to 1,700 RPM, with 14 to 53 CFM of air-flow, and noise output proportionately ranging between 12 to 31 dBA. The cooler supports most modern CPU sockets, including AM4, LGA2066, LGA2011(v3), AM3(+), FM2(+), LGA115x, LGA1366, and LGA775. The company didn't reveal pricing.
