Noctua today presented its new NH-U12A premium-quality quiet CPU cooler. The NH-U12A is the latest, 5th generation of Noctua's award-winning U12 series of 120mm size coolers. Conceived to push the envelope of the 120mm form factor, it combines two of Noctua's flagship model NF-A12x25 PWM 120mm fans with a completely redesigned heatsink featuring 7 heatpipes and an increased fin surface area for superior heat dissipation. This way, the NH-U12A can rival the performance of many 140mm sized coolers while offering 120mm class case and PCIe compatibility.

"The original NH-U12 was the very first product we introduced back in 2005 and the U12 series has been at the core of our product line-up ever since," explains Roland Mossig (Noctua CEO). Cooler Master unveiled TR4 Edition variants of its MasterLiquid ML RGB line of all-in-one liquid CPU coolers, which include the ML240 RGB TR4 Edition and the ML360 RGB TR4 Edition. As the names suggest, these coolers support AMD socket SP3r2 aka TR4, and are designed for Ryzen Threadripper processors. The ML240 RGB TR4 Edition with its 240 mm x 120 mm radiator is recommended for models with 180W TDP, while its bigger sibling with a 360 mm x 120 mm radiator is recommended for 250W models, including the 32-core Threadripper 2990WX. Both models feature a designed pump-block with an enlarged rectangular copper base for better coverage of the Threadripper IHS, and retention module for the TR4 socket. The company logo on the pump-block and the included fans come with RGB LED lighting. Both models go on sale on 14th March, the company didn't reveal pricing.

Thermaltake is ready with an all-black version of the HR-22 Plus CPU heatsink. This monstrosity, pictured next to a 350 ml soda can for scale, can handle processors with up to 65 W TDP without needing a fan, and over 200 W with up to two 120 mm fans mounted in push-pull fashion. The black variant features anodized aluminium fins and nickel-plated copper fins. The fin-stack consists of 35 large indented and punched fins through which eight 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes pass, which indirectly pull heat from a nickel-plated copper base. Measuring 150 mm x 120 mm x 159 mm (LxWxH), the heatsink alone weighs 1.12 kg. The company didn't reveal pricing or availability, but apparently this variant is available in China.

Noctua today announced that all of its current multi-socket desktop CPU coolers, such as the popular NH-D15, NH-U14S and NH-U12S, now also include installation hardware for the AM4 socket of AMD's Ryzen processors. Although Noctua introduced its dedicated SE-AM4 models in early 2017 and has provided free-of-charge upgrade kits ever since the launch of the AM4 platform, the updates of the existing multi-socket models now allow customers to install them on all current mainstream sockets without ordering extra mounting kits. As suggested retail prices remain unchanged, the updates come at no extra cost to the customers.

"We've supported AMD's Ryzen platform with our SE-AM4 models and free-of-charge mounting upgrades from the very beginning", says Roland Mossig (Noctua CEO). "As with Intel's LGA115x and 20xx platforms, our customers have greatly appreciated our free upgrade policy. We've provided many thousands of free mounting kits and quite a few customers have migrated 10-year-old heatsinks they had already used on several socket generations. This means a lot to us and we'll continue to offer the free kits of course. However, with AM4 becoming more and more popular, we think it is time to also include the mountings with our existing models so that customers have everything at hand when they purchase new coolers."

In time with Intel's launch of the new Xeon W-3175X 28-core workstation CPU today, Asetek has announced their first, and only to date, certified CPU cooler for the processor. The cooler, code-named 690LX-PN, is a closed loop liquid cooler developed in collaboration with Intel, and approved by the latter to be used with the 28-core behemoth that no doubt needs more ample cooling than most of Intel's desktop offerings. It is rated for a 500 W TDP, thanks to the use of a triple 120 m radiator (copper/brass instead of aluminium, for a change) with fans pre-installed, and their latest Gen6-s pump integrated with a copper cold plate.

The cold plate in question is fairly large relative to the pump, which indicates that the cooling engine itself is not necessarily optimized for the larger heatspreader on the CPU. The cooler is only compatible with this CPU platform, and is also the only cooler approved by Intel for the platform as of the time of this post. It is available for purchase on the Asetek web shop, and comes with a 2-year warranty.

ENERMAX, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance PC hardware products, is expanding the acclaimed RGB liquid cooler series, LIQFUSION, with the addition of a 360mm AIO cooler. ARCTIC today introduced the new Freezer 34 air cooler series. Development of the new Freezer series focused on increasing cooling capacity. With static pressure optimized P-fans and the improved heatsink, the Freezer 34 series offers high quality products with high-powered performance. The series consists of the standard Freezer 34 model; the Freezer 34 CO, a new tower CPU cooler; the Freezer 34 eSports; and the Freezer 34 eSports DUO.

The Freezer 34 coolers come with all the perks of ARCTIC's high static pressure P-fans: an extended shelf life, a wide RPM range, lower power consumption, high quality bearings and less vibration. Plus, when the PWM signal falls below 5%, the passive 0 dB mode is activated. At CES 2019 we had the opportunity to look at Lian Li's revised PC-O11 Dynamic ROG V2 case which sees numerous improvements compared to previous iterations. It offers a tool-less quick release for all side panels along with improved radiator installation thanks to changed made to the bottom fan mount. Installing a GPU vertically is now a possibility with Lian Li going a step further by also including a seamless anti-sag bracket for stable GPU mounting. Even the dust filters have seen upgrades with the bottom fan filter now being equipped with a plastic frame for increased stability and better usability.

Enthusiasts will be happy to see improved water cooling capabilities with all radiator locations now capable of fitting thicker radiators. They also improved support allowing for the use of up to 360 mm radiator options as well. Those not interested in water cooling can instead use an included plate for more storage space while also hiding the side fan mounts. Overall it is a larger more luxurious case that has seen numerous improvements.

Silverstone shows us the Argon AR12-RGB, a modernization of its Argon 12-series tower-type cooler to keep up with the times. Its fan carries with it most of the design chops with a translucent white making up the impeller, the inner bore of the frame, and cushioned fan-mounts. The fan features a refreshed fan-blade design that increases air-flow which you can trade in for lower noise. A standardized addressable-RGB header lets you control its RGB LED lighting. Another nice touch is the white top-plate for the fin-stack. The 154 mm-tall tower-type cooler features heatpipe direct touch base, and can handle thermal loads of up to 125 W (TDP), with support for most modern mainstream desktop CPU socket types, including AM4 and LGA115x.

Cooler Master has a formidable presence at this year's CES, with the company unveiling 7 new cases. These include co-branding iterations of existing case models with the likes of ASRock Phantom Gaming and ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance. The MasterBox Q300L from last year gets TUF Gaming Alliance bodywork, which includes variations to the front panel mesh, streaks of TUF yellow, and a matte-black (somewhat gunmetal) finish for the metal bits. The ASRock Phantom Gaming renditions of the MasterBox K500 and MasterCase H500P Mesh swap out plain silver with chrome-like shades of brighter silver metallic finish, with red accents, a few more crease lines, and ASRock's favorite shade of red illuminating the fans, out of the box. This keeps up with the design scheme of ASRock Phantom Gaming series motherboards.

The new MasterBox NR400 and NR600 ATX introduce a new direction in which Cooler Master is taking its case designs - matte black, with very few creases or accents, and a subtle contrasting gray opaque band running across the mesh. The NR600 ATX is a conventional tower with a horizontally partitioned layout. The NR400 is a micro-ATX tower with a similar layout as its bigger sibling. Lastly, there are the MasterBox Q500L and Q500P, which are stretched out variations of the Q300 series, and designed for ATX builds, while retaining the cube-like appearance of their predecessors.

Phanteks today announced the new PH-TC12LS RGB CPU Cooler. The already popular CPU cooler now gets a new illumination upgrade from the award-winning Halos RGB fan frame.

Phanteks' PH-TC12LS RGB is a low profile CPU cooler designed for cases that are limited in space and clearance. The PH-TC12LS RGB uses six C-type heat-pipes (6mm diameter) to deliver thermal conductivity more efficiently. EVGA today released four new all-in-one (AIO) liquid VGA coolers for its GeForce RTX 20-series graphics cards, under its Hybrid Kit branding. The Hybrid Kit "400-HC-1184-B1" is meant for RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 XC, XC2, and Founders Edition variants. The "400-HC-1384-B1" is designed for RTX 2080 Ti Founders Editon and EVGA's XC and XC2 renditions of the RTX 2080 Ti. Both these models are priced at USD $169.99. The "400-HC-1284-B1" is designed for FTW3 series cards based on the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080; while the "400-HC-1484-B1" is meant for the RTX 2080 Ti FTW3. Both these FTW3 variants are priced at $179.99.

These coolers earn their "Hybrid" name in being a combination of liquid and air cooling. An AIO pump-block pulls heat from the GPU, while a heatsink ventilated by a 100 mm fan suspended along a shroud cools the VRM areas of the graphics cards. A base-plate covers the memory areas, and transfers heat to the AIO block. A 120 mm radiator along with a 120 mm PWM fluid-bearing fan dissipate heat drawn from the GPU and memory. The shroud covering it all is studded with addressable RGB LEDs that plug into the aRGB header of the PCB.

Raijintek today introduced the Pallas 120 RGB, a refresh of the original Pallas from 2014. Raijintek has made four key changes to its design. To begin with, the mirror finish nickel-plated copper base from the original has been replaced with a direct-touch base, where the cooler's six 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU. The second big change is the black coated aluminium fin-stack and heat-pipes, which offer a matte appearance. Thirdly, the change reflecting the namesake - the fan featuring RGB LED illumination using 10 diodes (4-pin standard RGB header); and lastly, support for newer sockets AM4 and LGA2066, in addition to LGA115x and AM3+.

The C-type heatsink offers a height of just 68 mm, making it perfect for low-profile builds, provided you can find room around the CPU socket for the cooler's vast width and depth. Measuring 130 mm x 146.8 mm x 68 mm (WxDxH), it weighs 550 g, including the fan. The fan specs are mostly unchanged from the original. Drawing power from a 4-pin PWM header, and featuring a hydraulic bearing, it spins between 200 to 1,400 RPM, pushing up to 41.71 CFM of air, with a maximum noise output of 28.43 dBA. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Raijintek today introduced the MYA RBW, a large aluminium fin tower-type CPU cooler with addressable RGB embellishments. The cooler was first shown off at Computex 2018. Its design involves a heavy aluminium fin-stack with ridged fins that have increased surface area over flat fins, capped off by a composite top, with a silicone RGB LED diffuser, and a brushed metal top-plate. Heat drawn by six 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes pass through the fin-stack.

At the base, these heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU. A 13 mm-thick slimline hydraulic bearing 120 mm fan compensates for the fin-stack's thickness, as does the vertical offset in the fin-stack itself, freeing up room near your motherboard's memory slot area. The fan spins between 200 to 1,400 RPM, pushing up to 41.71 CFM of air and a 28.43 dBA minimum noise level. Measuring 130 mm x 86 mm x 163 mm (WxDxH), the cooler weighs about 925 g, including the fan. Among the CPU sockets supported are Intel LGA2066, LGA115x, and AM4. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Raijintek today introduced the Juno Pro RBW, a low-profile air CPU cooler and successor to the Juno-X RGB from late-2017. While the Juno-X RGB only featured a multi-color fan strapped onto the original Juno-X heatsink, the new Juno Pro RBW features a more substantial redesign, with a metal shroud crowing the upper portion of the heatsink, and a silicone RGB LED diffuser ring framing the shroud. The lighting system conforms to the newer addressable-RGB standard, so you can control it using various motherboard branded lighting control software.

Under the hood, the heatsink is unchanged from the Juno-X: a radially-projecting aluminium fin-stack that's bunched up at the center, making up the base that makes contact with the CPU, which is ventilated by a 120 mm PWM fan that spins between 400 to 1,800 RPM, pushing up to 38.5 CFM of air, with a noise output of 28 dBA. Measuring 122.5 mm x 122.5 mm x 65 mm (WxDxH), it weighs 315 g. The cooler is capable of handling thermal loads of up to 105W TDP. Among the CPU sockets supported are LGA115x and AM4. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Japanese cooling expert Scythe presents the fifth generation of its popular all-round Katana CPU cooler. This new version comes with a revamped asymmetric heatsink design and total height of only 135 mm, offering unrestricted compatibility to mainboards and memory modules. The second generation of the Easy Clip Mounting System (E.C.M.S) assures a fast and easy installation process. Another key innovation of the Katana 5 is the newly developed Kaze Flex 92 PWM fan. It combines the high-quality Sealed Precision Fluid Dynamic Bearing with anti-vibration rubber spacers for silent operation and long lifespan.

As its name suggests, the cooler mates a 360 mm x 120 mm radiator with the cylindrical pump-block characteristic of this series, which features dual ceramic bearings for the pump assembly, and a circular RGB LED diffuser along the top plate. The rest of the pump-block's body is finished in matte-black with diamond-cut edges.

A trio of 120 mm fans with addressable RGB LED illumination and rubberized frame edges comes included. These fans each take 4-pin PWM input, spin between 500 to 1,800 RPM, pushing up to 69.34 CFM of air, with a noise output of up to 30 dBA. The pump-block as well as fans feature both an included preset-based lighting module, but also fully support standardized addressable RGB input, letting you control them via motherboard software such as Aura Sync, Mystic Light, RGB Fusion, Polychrome, and VividLED. The GamerStorm Castle 360 RGB is among the rare few coolers that support both AMD TR4 and Intel LGA2066, in addition to AM4 and LGA115x. Available now, the DeepCool GamerStorm Castle 360 RGB is priced at 180€ (including taxes).

CORSAIR, a world leader in PC gaming peripherals and enthusiast components, today launched the latest in its line of best-selling Hydro Series all-in-one liquid CPU coolers, the CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i RGB PLATINUM and CORSAIR Hydro Series H115i RGB PLATINUM. The new pair of coolers take the Hydro Series to new heights in both cooling performance and dazzling RGB lighting across both the fans and pump head.

Each of the new entries in the acclaimed Hydro Series range is cooled by a pair of CORSAIR ML PRO Series RGB magnetic levitation PWM fans, delivering the superb airflow and high static pressure needed to cool today's hottest CPUs. Thanks to the ultra-low friction of their magnetic bearings, they also generate less noise than traditional bearing fans even when spinning at higher RPMs. The H100i RGB PLATINUM comes equipped with two 120mm fans and a 240mm radiator, while the H115i RGB PLATINUM is cooled by two 140mm fans and a 280mm radiator.

Alpenföhn today introduced the Matterhorn Threadripper, a variant of its popular Matterhorn series tower-type CPU air coolers, which supports AMD socket TR4 (SP3r2). The cooler comes with an enlarged copper base, which offers full coverage of the Ryzen Threadripper IHS. Six 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes convey heat from this base through the aluminium fin-stack.

The cooler ships with a re-tuned Wingboost 2 120 mm fan, which spins between 500 - 1,500 RPM, pushing up to 106 m³h of air, with noise output as low as 18.2 dBA. Both the fins and the heat pipes feature a ceramic black coating that works to increase surface area for heat dissipation. A tube of Alpenföhn Permafrost TIM comes included. Measuring 138 mm x 100 mm x 158 mm (WxDxH), the cooler weighs about 1 kg. The company did not mention the thermal load limits of the cooler, and whether it's recommended for even the 250W TDP models such as the Threadripper 2990WX. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Scythe today introduced an ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance co-branded variant of its Kotetsu Mark II tower-type CPU air cooler. The Kotetsu Mark II debuted late-2017. Co-branded bits include a new aluminium fin-stack top-plate, which features the urban digital camo pattern and TUF Gaming Alliance logo, and a refreshed Kaze Flex RGB 120 mm fan, which comes with yellow rubberized fan-frame mounts, TUF Gaming Alliance branding on the impeller hub, and RGB LED illumination with addressable RGB header support, which you can control using ASUS Aura Sync RGB (and all other aRGB-capable software). Cosmetic bits aside, this fan has the same exact specs as the Kaze Flex PWM included with the original Kotetsu Mark II, with 300~1,200 RPM range, 16.6~51.17 CFM air-flow, and 4~24.9 dBA noise output. The cooler still measures 136 mm x 83 mm x 154 mm (WxDxH), weighing 645 g. Owing to the aRGB illumination and co-branding, the Kotetsu Mark II ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance CPU cooler could be a touch pricier than the original.

Thermal Solutions specialist GELID Solutions unveils the latest extreme performance CPU cooler for Intel ​and AMD CPU. The Sirocco is a product of GELID Solutions GAMER product line. The Sirocco comes with the super-star mix of cooling technologies. The advanced copper-based heatsink utilizes the powerful set of 6 U-Stacked heat pipes to provide the most efficient heat distribution over the heatsink elements. The joints between heat pipes and fins are all soldered to ensure perfect thermal contact and to support stronger mechanical integrity.

The special Shark-Tooth Edge profiling is applied to fins and also fine-tuned to substantially reduce noise for high and ultra-high RPM fan settings. Additionally, the top-class nickel plating enhances the heatsink per-fin efficiency and improves durability. As the result, the Sirocco fully supports TDP over 200W and features an overkill CPU cooling solution for pro gamers and overclockers.

ASUS today launched the Republic of Gamers (ROG) Ryujin line of all-in-one liquid CPU coolers for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. Positioned above the ROG Ryuo series, which opened to pre-orders earlier this month, the Ryujin was first showcased at the 2018 Computex. These coolers are characterized by a somewhat square pump-block design that resembles a that of a chipset heatsink; but is embedded with a 1.77-inch color OLED display that shows an animated ROG logo by default, but can be reprogrammed to show just about anything, such as clan logos, live CPU temperature/load monitoring, etc. Another innovation that sets the Ryujin pump-block apart from every other Asetek cooler out there, is a tiny lateral-blower fan embedded into the block, which ASUS claims can bring down CPU VRM and M.2 SSD temperatures by up to 20°C.

The Ryujin series comes in two variants based on radiator size, the Ryujin 240 (120 mm x 240 mm radiator), and Ryujin 360 (120 mm x 360 mm radiator). These are 27 mm-thick aluminium radiators, which are ventilated by matte-black Noctua IndustrialPPC 120 mm PWM fans that are part of the package. These fans each spin between 450 to 2,000 RPM, pushing up to 121.8 CFM of air, with noise output up to 31 dBA. As we mentioned earlier, the product pages for both models mentions that the coolers only support AMD socket TR4, with full coverage for the AMD Ryzen Threadripper integrated heatspreader. This could help ASUS command a slightly high price, given that it's catering only to the market that can afford HEDT processors.
