ViewSonic has launched a new OLED gaming monitor in the Chinese market that not only is a dual-mode 4K 240 Hz / 1080p 480 Hz display, but it also brings DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity as part of the package. The XG323-4K-OLED2 is said to sport a 31.5-inch LG OLED panel with an anti glare coating, that delivers up to 450 nits brightness, but it can reach as high as 1300 nits in HDR mode. The 10-bit OLED panel delivers 0.03 ms Grey to Grey response time, 98.5 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and it's also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified. There's also support for VRR via some form of AMD FreeSync version.

However, what stands out here is the paired back design, especially considering that the XG323-4K-OLED2 is being sold as a gaming monitor. We get a more traditional square stand and a much thicker display back compared to most other gaming OLED displays. That said, we're not quite sure what ViewSonic was thinking when the base of the stand was designed, as it's not flat. Connectivity, besides two DisplayPort 2.1 port with full 80 Gbps UHBR20 support, also consists of a USB Type-C port with DP Alt-mode and 140 W USB PD support—a first as far as we're aware—as well as more mundane options like two HDMI 2.1 inputs, one USB 3.2 Type-B input, three USB 2.0 outputs and an audio jack. The stand supports the standard tilt, swivel and height adjustments, as well as rotation. Finally the XG323-4K-OLED2 sports a pair of 5 W speakers and a remote control. JD.com is listing the display of RMB 10,999 which is just north of US$1,500. It's unclear which, if any other markets ViewSonic will offer the XG323-4K-OLED2 in.

Designed with ultra-portability in mind, the new 15.6-inch white model measures just 0.49-inches and weighs a scant 2.18lbs.

Powered by an Intel Core ️ Ultra Processor with an integrated AI Boost, this LG gram SuperSlim is faster than previous-generation CPU-only systems. Intel Core Ultra processors include a specialized AI processing unit alongside supercharged performance to support advanced, innovative use cases and demanding applications. The architecture enables smooth graphics and power efficiency for improved battery life.

Philips, or rather its brand licence partner MMD—which is a division of TPV—has launched a new gaming monitor under its Evnia brand, namely the 32M2N8800. The model name doesn't really give away much about the specs, but what we're looking at is a 31.5-inch 4K QD-OLED display with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The panel is VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certified and ClearMR 13000. Like most displays of this type it has a 10-bit panel with a 0.03 ms grey to grey response time and 99 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. The Evnia display also features a range of gaming mode features like a smart crosshair and various game mode settings. There's also support for picture by picture and picture in picture.

Connectivity wise, it's sadly stuck with DisplayPort 1.4, as well as a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports. There's also a built-in USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) hub with two USB Type-A ports, of which one supports the older USB battery charging 1.2 standard, which delivers 5 V at up to 1.5 A. There's also a 3.5 mm audio output jack and the display is also equipped with Philips' Ambiglow LED backlight on four sides. The stand supports height, swivel and tilt adjustments. The Evnia 32M2N8800 is expected to retail for around US$1000, based on pricing in Hong Kong.

ASUS today announced a new generation of AI-powered computing at its online-only Next Level. AI Incredible. launch event, dedicated to the launch of the ASUS Vivobook S 15 (S5507). This new Evnia gaming monitor is stacked with visual power. Philips Monitors introduces its latest addition to the premium Evnia 8000 monitor series. The Philips Evnia 49M2C8900L is jam-packed with powerful features like a 48.9-inch (124.3 cm) QD-OLED panel, a 32:9 SuperWide aspect ratio, 5120 x 1440 resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, Ambiglow lighting, and DTS Sound. All in all, this monitor is made for all kinds of game genres, but its visual fidelity is what makes it stand out.


A hallmark feature of the Philips Evnia 49M2C8900L is the QD-OLED panel. Certified with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 for an exceptional HDR experience, and certified with VESA ClearMR 8000 for butter-smooth gameplay, visuals on this monitor are assured to be rich in colour, sharp and blur-free. Furthermore, the SuperWide (32:9) QD-OLED panel, when combined with the monitor's 1800R curvature, provides a high-quality and immersive adventure to all gamers. With a 10-bit colour depth, supreme sRGB colour accuracy (DeltaE < 2) and a high gamut coverage (99% DCI-P3), the Evnia monitor reproduces vibrant, true-to-life colours. The large screen is like having two 16:9 QHD monitors side by side and allows gamers to play on a singular screen instead of a dual-monitor setup; thereby creating a more seamless and smooth usage.

Just before Christmas, LG unveiled the UltraGear 32GS95UE-B OLED gaming monitor with what the company is calling Dual-Hz, which allows for different refresh rates at different resolutions. In this case, 240 Hz at 4K and 480 Hz at 1080p. However, LG only provided basic specs and didn't reveal pricing back then, both of which now have been revealed. The 31.5-inch OLED panel used doesn't really stand out from the crowd with a typical brightness of 275 cd/m², a color depth of 1.07 billion colors (10-bit panel), a contrast ratio of 1.5 million to one a gray to gray response time of 0.03 ms and DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification.

As far as connectivity goes, some of you will be disappointed, as the 32GS95UE-B only sports DisplayPort 1.4 as well as HDMI 2.1. There isn't even a USB Type-C port on this monitor, instead a USB Type-B input and standard USB-A outputs, as well as a headphone output is all you get. LG has also kitted out the 32GS95UE-B with what the company called Pixel Sound speakers, i.e. the speakers are hidden behind the display panel. Both FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility is included, as well all the usual gaming features you'd expect. LG also includes a stand that supports tilt, height, swivel and pivot adjustments. In the US, the 32GS95UE-B comes with a two-year warranty, a US$1399.99 price tag and a mid-April shipping date.

Back in January, Gigabyte announced a wide range of new displays at CES and one of the new models that the company didn't have on display at the show was the AORUS FO27Q3. The company has now shared more details on its website of the new display and it gives us a lot more details than what had previously been released. As the model name suggests, the AORUS FO27Q3 is a 27-inch display and the resolution is 2560 x 1440 pixels and the refresh rate will top out at 360 Hz and has a response time of 0.03 ms. The FO27Q3 is built around a QD-OLED panel with an anti-reflective coating. The panel is said to be a 10-bit panel capable of 10.7 billion colours and it's certified for DisplayHDR True Black 400, has a typical brightness of 250 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 15 million to one.

Other features include support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA ClearMR 13000, but there's no mention of G-Sync support. Other features include a range of gaming related features such as crosshairs, night vision, black equalizer etc. as well as picture by picture and picture in picture support. Inputs consist of two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DP 1.4, one USB Type-C with DP Alt mode support as well as a very disappointing 18 W of USB Power Delivery. Furthermore there's a USB 3.0 upstreams port and two downstreams ports, a headphone and a microphone jack. Gigabyte has also added KVM support and a stand that offers tilt, swivels, pivot and height adjustment. The display is said to have a peak power draw of 53 Watts and relies on an external power brick. No word on pricing or availability.

At CES 2024, Razer has updated its Blade laptop family spanning across various sizes, and even got a chance to present a "world's first" feature in a gaming product. Its membrane offers 154% coverage of DCI-P3 color gamut. The projector takes in HDMI and USB-C inputs, and a digital audio passthrough, so you can connect it to your sound system. Samsung Electronics America today announced new Odyssey OLED gaming monitors debuting at CES 2024, the world's biggest tech event owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), in Las Vegas next week. The new OLED models deliver the performance and visual clarity gamers look for in their monitors, and include the Odyssey OLED G9 (Model Name: G95SD), Odyssey OLED G8 (Model Name: G80SD), and the Odyssey OLED G6 (Model Name: G60SD).

The Odyssey OLED G9 is a 49" curved ultra-wide gaming monitor with DQHD (5,120×1,440) resolution and a 32:9 aspect ratio and other upgraded features. The Odyssey OLED G8 is the first flat 32-inch Samsung OLED gaming monitor with 4K UHD (3,840×2,160) resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Both monitors have a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms GTG response time. Samsung Electronics today announced the global launch of the Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor (G95SC model), which has been enhanced with next-level AI upscaling technology. Building on the success of last year's Odyssey OLED G8 (G85SB), the new monitor joins the lineup to open a new era of OLED gaming.
