EK Expands Its Threadripper Waterblock Portfolio With the EK-Supremacy sTR4's Four SKUs

EK is releasing new dedicated EK-Supremacy sTR4 water blocks that are specifically designed for HEDT AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. The cold plate covers the entire IHS of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor and the fin structure is fine-tuned for multi-die CPU cooling.

EK-Supremacy sTR4
The release of AMD X399 chipset based HEDT processors opened new opportunities and challenges for cooling solutions. EK was first on market with a liquid cooling solution, but now it's time to go for the pole-position. The primary goal in designing the new EK-Supremacy sTR4 water block was to cover the entire IHS of HEDT AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors and to optimize the fin structure according to the CPU die layout. A dense micro-fin structure that counts 91 grooves is split in half in the center so that the CPU dies are cooled more directly. The water block features a patent-pending technology called TDC (Targeted Die Cooling), which is a unique approach to cooling of multi-die processors in order to maximize the cooling performance of every single die by addressing them directly.

EK Announces Their RGB Water Block for AMD Radeon RX Vega Based Graphics Cards

EK Water Blocks, the Slovenia-based premium PC liquid cooling gear manufacturer is expanding its RGB portfolio by presenting a Full Cover water block for AMD Radeon Vega architecture based high-end graphics cards. Customers will be able to transform their graphics card into a beautiful, bright single slot card while the water cooling block will allow the GPU to reach higher frequencies, thus providing more performance during gaming or other demanding tasks.

EK-FC Radeon Vega RGB
This water block directly cools the GPU, HBM2 memory, and VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. EK-FC Radeon Vega water block features a central inlet split-flow cooling engine design for best possible cooling performance, which also works flawlessly with reversed water flow without adversely affecting the cooling performance. This kind of efficient cooling will allow your high-end graphics card to reach higher boost clocks, thus providing more performance during gaming or other GPU intense tasks. Moreover, such design offers great hydraulic performance allowing this product to be used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps.

EK WaterBlocks Announces the CPC Quick-Disconnect Couplings

Ek WaterBlocks has just announced the standalone availability of its much sought-after CPC Quick-Disconnect couplings, which you may wish to integrate into your custom water loops for ease of use and quality-of-life improvements. To release them, a quick button press on the female side of the connector and a slight pull should bring the parts apart. Although the purpose of these connectors is really to stop the flow so you can change parts from your loop, you can't disconnect them while the loop is running (well, you shouldn't because you know, sparkly fireworks might ensue due to spillage.) These also don't work as a drain port.

The EK-QDC 10mm couplings work with soft tubing that has an inner diameter of 10 mm and outer diameters of either 13 mm or 16 mm, and includes clamps for both sizes. The CPC Quick-Disconnect couplings' U.S. pricing comes in at $33, and are now available for purchase directly from EKWB.

EK Water Blocks Radeon R9 Nano Full-coverage Block Now Available

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is excited to launch the true single-slot liquid cooling solution for AMD Radeon reference design R9 Nano graphics card. EK-FC R9 Nano directly cools the GPU, HBM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas, thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks.

EK-FC R9 Nano water block features EK unique central inlet split-flow cooling engine design for best possible cooling performance. Such system also works flawlessly with the reversed water flow without adversely affecting the cooling performance. Moreover, such design offers great hydraulic performance, allowing this product to be used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps. Unlike the original cooling solution with a single 90mm fan that comes with AMD Radeon R9 Nano and takes up two slots, EK-FC R9 Nano water block will transform the R9 Nano into a stunningly beautiful single-slot graphics card! EK encloses a single-slot I/O bracket which replaces the original two-slot in order to make installation of mutliple graphics cards easier.

EK Introduces the EK-Thermosphere Universal GPU Water Block

EK-Thermosphere is a high performance universal GPU water block built off EK-Supremacy cooling engine, designed specifically for the use with EK-FC Terminal interconnects in multiple graphics card system. Other heat generating components (such as RAM and VRM integrated circuit) need alternative cooling method (fan and/or self adhesive heatsinks).

"We're pleased to introduce our new conceptually new universal GPU water block," said Niko Tivadar, EK-Thermosphere main designer and Product Manager of EKWB. "EK-Thermosphere is a new addition to our Clean CSQ industrial design line and features very slim construction, thanks to completely new architecture. Unmatched thermal performance and even more straight-forward installation procedure than before are key features of this product. Hooking up liquid cooling to four GPUs has never been easier."

MSI Readies Liquid-Cooled HD 7970 GHz Edition Lightning Graphics Card

The performance lead that MSI's Radeon HD 7970 Lightning maintained over reference HD 7970 was cut down, first by NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 680, and then by AMD's own Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition, leaving its engineers to go back to the drawing boards, and design an even faster graphics card. The result: a liquid-cooled HD 7970 GHz Edition Lightning graphics card, which could push clock-speeds up even further. The card ships with a pre-installed full-coverage water-block, made by EK WaterBlocks (EKWB). It comes ready for 6-display Eyefinity, with four mini-DisplayPort and two DVI. Here's hoping one of those is a dual-link DVI. More details are awaited.

Update: We've received word that it's not that MSI has a new product in the works, but that EKWB has a water-block tailored for MSI's existing R7970 Lightning.

EK Introduces Two Water Blocks for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590

EK WaterBlocks is ready with two new full-coverage water blocks for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590, the EK-FC590-GTX-Nickel (with transparent acrylic top), and EK-FC590-GTX-Nickel+Acetal (with opaque acetal top). Tops aside, the two are of the same design. The primary material is copper with nickel plating to minimize corrosion over time. It uses a common channel design with ridges over the two GPU areas, and pressure-building points over the other areas such as the GTX 590's feisty VRM. Overall, the block is rectangular in shape, and rather than finding a way around the cylindrical capacitors, it makes room for them using holes in the block. The EK-FC590-GTX-Nickel is priced at €124.96, while the EK-FC590-GTX-Nickel+Acetal goes for €129.95.

EK WaterBlocks Ready With GeForce GTX 295 Offering

EK WaterBlocks, a well-known name with computer enthusiasts is ready with its offering for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 dual-GPU graphics accelerator. As with any water-block made for the GeForce 9800 GX2 and GeForce GTX 295, this block consists of two cooling surfaces for each of the two PCBs.

EK WaterBlocks' latest unit (model: EK-FC295 GTX SLI) is a monolithic full-coverage block made of copper and acrylic glass. Each of the cooling surfaces has contact points for the various components of the accelerator. The block is available with a whole range of options with its fittings. It is SLI-capable, meaning that its fittings allow its fluid to be relayed to the next accelerator. The block weighs 1.35 kg (around 3 lbs). It will be available from EK WaterBlocks' store starting tomorrow, priced at 125€ (around US $172.60).
