Gateway Readies the ZX4270 All-in-One PC

Later this month Gateway is set to introduce a new Gateway One ZX Series All-in-One desktop, a low-cost model dubbed ZX4270 that feature a 19.5-inch (1600 x 900) display (no touch support) and is powered by a 1.5 GHz AMD A4 5000 APU. The upcoming AIO also has 4 GB of RAM, up to a 750 GB hard drive, a 1080p-capable webcam, a slim optical drive (DVD writer), WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 ports, and a card reader. The ZX4270 runs Windows 8 and starts at $399.

Gateway today announces its back-to-school line of notebooks, desktops and displays delivering popular features, proven technologies and solid performance at an affordable price. Gateway Expands its Sleek and Popular Line of All-in-One PCs

Responding to the success of its ZX One Series and the growing popularity of all-in-one desktop PCs among consumers, Gateway today expanded its line with additional models featuring an all new industrial design. The new AIO PCs join Gateway's existing ZX One Series, adding more design choices, configurations and price points.

With MSRPs beginning at $899.99, the Gateway One ZX4951 Series and One ZX6951 Series feature 21.5- or 23-inch full high definition displays, powerful Intel Pentium or Core i3 processors and Blu-ray drives. Their compact size makes them perfect for small rooms, such as a dorm, home office or kitchen. In addition, the ZX6951 includes a TV tuner, so it can easily double as a TV and/or home entertainment center.

Gateway Rolls Out Multi-touch Capable Windows 7 All-in-one Desktops

Gateway rolled out two new all-in-one PCs that boast of multi-touch capable displays. The Gateway One ZX6800 (23-inch), and Gateway One ZX4800 (20-inch) PCs come with everything expected from PCs in this quickly growing category. While the ZX6800 offers a full-HD screen resolution of 1920 x 1080, the ZX4800 give 1600 x 900. Under the hood, the ZX6800 packs an Intel Core 2 Quad 2.33 GHz processor, 8 GB of memory, and ATI Radeon HD 4670 1 GB powering the graphics, DVD Writer, 64 GB SSD to store the OS and installed applications, 1 TB hard drive for storage, gigbit Ethernet and WiFi b/g/n, a hybrid TV-tuner, and 5.1 channel audio (outputs).

The ZX4800 on the other hand, is powered by an Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2.10 GHz, 4 GB memory, Intel GMA X4500 integrated graphics, a 750 GB hard drive (no SSD here), the rest of its specs is identical to its sibling, except that it doesn't pack the TV-tuner. Both come with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit pre-installed. The multi-touch capabilities may come of use thanks to Windows 7's finger enhancements, and the various applications the company will be bundling. Slated for a time-frame between late October and early November, the Gateway One X6800 will carry a price-tag of US $1399, while the X4800 will sell for $749.

Gateway One Launched

Gateway announced at DigitalLife today its first all-in-one desktop computer, the Gateway One. The all-in-one PC is just as cool as Apple's iMac and Sony Vaio LT series, featuring all new sleek, elegant and stylish design. There will be three verisions of the Gateway One, two retail versions available exclusively through Best Buy, and a third through Gateway Direct. The base Best Buy model, priced at $1,299.99 USD includes an Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 processor; 2GB DDR2 memory; Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100; 320 GB SATA II hard drive, and a 1.3MP webcam. The $1,799.99 configuration includes an Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 processor; 3GB of DDR2 memory; ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics; 500 GB SATA II hard drive and a 1.3MP webcam. That unit will also include an analog/digital TV tuner. The Gateway One model available direct from Gateway includes an Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 processor; ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics; 400 GB SATA II hard drive, and the 1.3MP webcam for $1,499.99.
