Manli Rep. Confirms Downgrading of GeForce RTX 5090D Graphics Cards - Only 24 GB of GDDR7 VRAM

Around late April, Chinese industry insiders started whispering about a possible halting of NVIDIA GB202 "Blackwell" GPU shipments into the region. Team Green's local board partners released custom "market exclusive" GeForce RTX 5090D 32 GB cards; featuring slightly downgraded flagship silicon. Since launch, Chinese hardcore gaming enthusiasts and DIY AI firms have observed impressive performance credentials, despite the presence of factory limited specifications. On May 6, reports suggested a complete halt of GeForce RTX 5090D sales in China. Fresher rumors indicate NVIDIA's engineering team return to the drawing board; with their alleged preparation of an even weaker GeForce RTX 5090D design.

A group of Baidu tipsters have discussed a key area of (further) compromise: VRAM capacity. The original GeForce RTX 5090D configuration was armed with 32 GB of GDDR7 VRAM; mid-May speculation envisioned a 24 GB variant. Earlier today, harukaze5719 highlighted an intriguing Weibo post. A Manli webshop representative has "confirmed" that revised GeForce RTX 5090D cards will become available around July. Up until recent events, this Chinese brand was selling flagship GPU-based Gallardo (black) and Stellar (white) models. A web chat session was captured and shared on Weibo—in addition, the sales agent disclosed their belief that (NVIDIA's) supply of GeForce RTX 5090D GPUs has been "insufficient since launch" time. On a semi-positive note, customers will not be greeted by price hikes. Manli anticipates "unchanged" price tags; albeit associated with lesser specifications.

Manli Readies GeForce RTX 5070 Polar Fox OC Light Teal Variant

Manli introduced its new generation Polar Fox graphics design earlier this year; accompanied by an "exclusive two-dimensional" product mascot. Prior to 2025, the manufacturer did not market these mid-range offerings with cute character illustrations and graphics. Several Chinese graphics card specialist companies have adopted this aesthetic; seemingly taking major influence from Yeston. According to the Manli's PR material, the latest Polar Fox graphics cards are: "perfect for users who love anime...we've crafted a unique IP identity that makes Polar Fox truly special. The most special feature is wave-shaped heat sink, it enhances airflow to minimize noise, delivering a quieter and more comfortable experience."

The brand launched their icon-themed GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB factory overclocked custom design early on in March, starting off with sections finished with an unusually deep blue tone. As observed by VideoCardz, this aesthetic—covering a significant portion of the card's shroud and a central 9 cm cooling fan—is not a subtle prospect; especially when showcased via a vertical orientation. The brand has prepped a less flashy variant—swapping out the launch model's dark blue tones, in favor of a light-hearted shade of aqua teal. Manli's signature mascot backplate illustration remains the same across both SKUs, although the newer option features additional fractal graphics and "Polar Fox" text. Going back to last month; the manufacturer unveiled this lighter teal setup during an introduction of (mostly dual-fan) new GeForce RTX 5060 Ti models.

Manli Announces Gallardo, Stellar, Polar Fox and Nebula GeForce RTX 50 Series Graphics Cards

Manli announced in a recent press release, which somehow went unnoticed most likely due to the CES 2025 event, that new Gallardo, Stellar, Polar Fox, and Nebula series graphics cards based on the NVIDIA Blackwell series are ready to join the GeForce RTX 50 lineup. While Manli didn't yet provide exact specifications, they showcased a bit more details regarding the design and the Drag Reduction System (DRS) feature that equips its Gallardo RTX 50 series.

The company seems to be a bit secretive at this moment, however, they say that the Drag Reduction System (DRS) has its inspiration in motorsports. Most likely this implies a dedicated design that use the heatsinks and spoilers to direct airflow towards specific areas. Manli Stellar, Polar Fox, and Nebula RTX 50 series are all based on a dual-slot format with triple fans on top. Although the press release mentioned that the new Manli 50 series graphics cards are available, there's no information about the exact lineup or pricing, and currently, the cards are not listed on the company website.

NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti SUPER with 26 Gbps G6X Mod Beats RTX 4080

The graphics card modders from Brazil, TecLab and Paulo Gomes are back with yet another audacious, competitive VGA mod. The duo has already built a reputation for video memory replacement mods that have significantly altered the performance profile of graphics cards, and their latest feat sees an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER graphics card get a bit of a memory upgrade. Out of the box, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER comes with 16 GB of 21 Gbps GDDR6X memory across the 256-bit wide memory interface of the "AD103" GPU. The two tech-tubers each performed memory chip replacement mods, which in combination with GPU overclocking, resulted in memory speeds ranging between 24 Gbps and 26 Gbps. The big story here is that with faster memory, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER beats the RTX 4080, despite 13% fewer shaders and other key components.

A stock GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card scores 8525 points in the Unigine Superposition 8K benchmark, and a stock-speed Manli RTX 4070 Ti SUPER does 7212 points, on account of fewer shaders (66 SM vs. 76 SM) and slower memory (21 Gbps vs. 22.4 Gbps). With a 24 Gbps memory speed mod, and GPU overclocking, Paulo Gomes achieved 8870 points in the test for the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, beating the RTX 4080, and overcoming the shader deficit. Meanwhile, over at TecLab, their Galax-branded RTX 4070 Ti SUPER yields 7028 points at stock speeds; and the team pulled off an epic 26 Gbps memory speed (chip replacement + overclocking), which when combined with some GPU overclocking, yielded a staggering 9133 points, which would inch close to what an RTX 4080 SUPER could produce with its 23 Gbps memory and maxed out "AD103" ASIC with all 80 SM on deck.

It's a Matter of Thousands: Manli Denies Submission of NVIDIA GTX 2070, 2080 Graphics Cards, GA104 and GA104-400 Codenames

Yesterday, a story surfaced on how Manli corporation had seemingly spilled the beans on NVIDIA's next-gen graphics cards lineup. A submission registration appeared online where the company was registering GTX 2070, GTX 2080, and GA104 and GA104-400 codenames for upcoming products - which obviously paved the way for speculation on those being the real, next-gen NVIDIA graphics solutions, in detriment of the on-and-off GTX 1100 series.

Today, Manli has sent out a media-wide email denying that the company had anything to do with the submission, and are actively investigating how, when, and why this happened. Still, the fact remains that the submission to the Eurasian Economic Union did happen. It remains to be seen whether this is a defensive, last-ditch effort to try and control media and PR damage to an impending announcement, or just an exceedingly clever ploy from a non Manli-affiliated party.

NVIDIA AIB Manli: GA104-400 Registered, GeForce GTX 2070 and 2080 Listed

There's just no quieting the rumor mill. It's like we're walking through a field that's made entirely of small pieces of stone that we inadvertently kick - and under every stone, another tidbit, another speculation, another pointer - a veritable breadcrumb trail that's getting more and more convoluted. Even as we were getting sort of decided in regards to NVIDIA's next-generation hardware and its nomenclature and model number - 1100 series - we now have two distinct sources and reports popping one right after the other that point to a 2000 series - and that also suggests Ampere might be in the cards for the next-gen product after all.
