Microchip Releases 20 Advanced Wi-Fi Products for Industrial and Commercial Applications

With Industry 4.0, the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digitized manufacturing and the age of IoT everything, the demand for wireless connectivity in commercial and industrial applications is growing at an exceptional pace. The company's Wi-Fi solutions are designed to support various application needs and developer skill levels. The selection ranges from modules that are regulatory certified in several countries that require no Radio Frequency (RF) expertise and little programming to robust Systems-on-Chip (SoCs) with industrial-level features.

Corning Unveils EXTREME ULE Glass to Enable Next Generation of Microchips

Corning Incorporated, one of the world's leading innovators in glass, ceramic, and materials science, today unveiled Corning EXTREME ULE Glass, a next-generation material that will support chip manufacturers in meeting the rapidly growing demand for advanced and intelligent technologies. The new material will help chipmakers improve photomasks - the stencils for chip design - which are critical for the mass production of today's most advanced and cost-efficient microchips.

Corning designed EXTREME ULE Glass to withstand the highest intensity extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, including high numerical aperture (High NA) EUV, which is rapidly becoming an industry standard. EUV lithography allows manufacturers to use the most advanced photomasks to pattern and print the smallest, most complex chip designs. This process requires extreme thermal stability and a uniform glass material to help ensure consistent manufacturing performance.

Microchip Introduces High-Performance PCIe Gen 5 SSD Controller Family

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) boom and rapid expansion of cloud-based services are accelerating the need for data centers to be more powerful, efficient and highly reliable. To meet the growing market demands, Microchip Technology has released the Flashtec NVMe 5016 Solid State Drive (SSD) controller. The 16-channel, PCIe Gen 5 NVM Express (NVMe) controller is designed to offer higher levels of bandwidth, security and flexibility.

KIOXIA SSDs Gain Compatibility Approval with Adaptec Host Bus, SmartRAID Adapters from Microchip

Today, Kioxia Corporation, a world leader in memory solutions, announced that its PCIe 4.0 NVMe and SAS SSDs have been successfully tested for compatibility and interoperability with Microchip Technology Inc. ("Microchip's") Adaptec HBA 1200 Series, SmartHBA 2200 Series host bus adapters (HBAs) and SmartRAID 3200 Series RAID adapters.

As one of the broadest portfolios of SSDs in the industry, KIOXIA drives are available for client PCs, as well as data center, hyperscale and enterprise servers and storage systems. KIOXIA CD6, CD8, and CM6 Series PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs and KIOXIA PM6 and PM7 Series 24G SAS SSDs all successfully completed compatibility testing performed by Microchip.
