The slim design of the Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse perfectly complements today's computers, with sleek lines and a brushed aluminum body. Razer Ouroboros Gaming Mouse Now Available In North America Retail

Sharkoon Announces Drakonia Black Laser Gaming Mouse

Douglas Engelbart Passes Away

Douglas Engelbart, the computing visionary who saw a future in the graphical user interface (GUI), and co-developed the modern mouse, passed away. He was 88. Engelbart conducted most of his work at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), and his team's most noted work laid the foundation of the GUI and windowed multi-tasking as we know today. Among his inventions are windowed GUI, the mouse as we know it, hypertext (text on the screen that you click to perform a function), and networked computers. "The Mother of All Demos," nickname for a tech-demo presented by Engelbart, which dates back to 1968, reveals just how much we owe today's computing innovations to the groundbreaking work done by him and his team.

CM Storm showed off its Reaper gaming mouse, which features a unique compact right palm-grip optimized design. Zalman ZM-M40IR Gaming Mouse Pictured

Corsair Expands PC Gaming Peripherals Lineup

Corsair, a worldwide designer of high-performance PC gaming hardware, today announced the addition of four gaming keyboards and two gaming mice to the company's Vengeance and Raptor Gaming lines.

Vengeance K70 Gaming Keyboards - Now with Cherry MX Brown or Cherry MX Blue Key Switches. In March, Corsair released the Vengeance K70 fully mechanical gaming keyboard with Cherry MX Red key switches designed for gamers who prefer a hair trigger key response. GIGABYTE Announces Aivia Neon Wireless Air-Presenter Mouse

GIGABYTE made an addition to its Aivia line of peripherals, with the Neon. The device combines the functionality of an air-presenter, and a mouse, in an ergonomic and wireless package. Such a design would save professionals the need to carry two separate devices. The Red Dot award-winning Aivia Neon measures 105 x 57 x 37 mm (WxHxD), weighing about 107 g (with battery), it is powered by a lithium-ion battery that charges up when the mouse is plugged in via USB. It transforms between wired- and wireless-modes.

The Aivia Neon features three main buttons, a scroll-wheel, three hotkeys, that can be programmed to transition slides and or elements within them. A small compartment on its side lets you tuck in its USB micro-receiver. The mouse also features a laser pointer to help with presentations.Grounded, the Aivia Neon functions as any other mouse, with 1,200 DPI tracking resolution. The company did not give out pricing or availability information.

ASUS Rolls Out ROG Eagle Eye GX1000 Gaming Mouse

ASUS rolled out its first Republic of Gamers (ROG) branded input device, the ROG Eagle Eye GX1000 gaming mouse. Clad in brushed aluminum and ABS plastic, with a braided weave cable, the Eagle Eye GX1000 features a pseudo-ambidextrous design (side buttons only on its left side), with a total of six action buttons, a scroll wheel, and on-the-fly sensitivity control buttons.

The ROG Eagle Eye GX1000 features a weight compartment, with adjustable weighs in units of 5 g. Its dry weight (without any weights) is 150 g. Under its hood is an 8,200 DPI laser sensor, which can be lowered all the way down to 50 DPI. Overall, the mouse measures 128.5 x 65.5 x 43.5 mm. ASUS dropped in some groovy LED lighting for the scroll wheel, the sensitivity adjustment felt-touch surface (can coarsely display DPI setting), and its rear side. An ROG-branded mousepad is part of the package. Expect this one to be priced upwards of $100.

Logitech Renews Commitment to PC Gaming, Introduces New Lineup

Corsair and Team SoloMid Unite

Corsair today announced that professional eSports champions Team SoloMid have selected Corsair's Vengeance gaming keyboards, mice, and mouse mats as their gear of choice for League of Legends competition. The team will also exclusively use Corsair PC cases, power supplies, and cooling products in their training center PCs.

Team SoloMid is one of the top-ranked teams in League of Legends, the world's most played video game with over 12 million active players per day. Team SoloMid captain Andy 'Reginald' Dinh said, "We train constantly and leave our PCs running and ready to go, so stability and speed are really important to us. We've been using Corsair hardware in our Origin gaming PCs since last season and performance has been absolutely flawless."
