Patriot Shows off its Fast and the Capacious Flash Drives

Patriot Memory also showed off a couple of its latest flash drives, the Supersonic and Magnum. Supersonic is all about speed, while Magnum is all about space. The Supersonic flash drive from Patriot comes in capacities of 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB; and uses the USB 3.0 interface. Its controller can churn out transfer rates of 100 MB/s read and 70 MB/s write. On the other hand, the Magnum comes in 64 GB and 128 GB; uses the old USB 2.0 interface, and transfers data at "200X" speed (est. 30 MB/s).

Patriot Wildfire SATA 6 Gb/s SSD Smiles for the Camera

Patriot Memory displayed its latest line of consumer SSDs in the 2.5-inch form factor, the Patriot Wildfire. The SSD uses the latest SATA 6 Gb/s interface, and is available in capacities of 60 GB, 120 GB, and 240 GB. Wildfire could use any of the many SATA 6 Gb/s compliant SSD controllers out there, the most notable being SandForce SF-2582 and Marvell 9174, to provide transfer speeds in excess of 500 MB/s.

Patriot Memory Refreshes High-Definition Media Player

Patriot Announces Immediate Availability of 64GB UHS-I SDXC Memory Cards

Patriot Memory Planning Launch of DDR3-2500 MHz Kits and SandForce-powered SSDs

Patriot Memory is planning two highlights for its Computex 2010 booth among a number of new products the company will release around that time. Jumping into the DDR3-2500 MHz bandwagon, Patriot will introduce Viper II Series Sector 5 Edition 2500MHz memory kits that come in dual-channel 4 GB and triple-channel 6 GB variants. The system manages a sustained 155,000 IOPS/s This may not give you and idea about the actual speed, but we were given a great example. Ripping a Blu-Ray takes 2-3 hours on a good PC. It takes a mere 0.9 seconds on this one. Yes, less than "one Mississippi". For all of you wanting to build a system like this, be prepared to spend around 60,000 US Dollars on it.
