Venom has announced the launch of the Sabre Stereo Gaming Headset, a new premium gaming headset for use with a wide variety of formats including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and PC, due to go on sale November 1st 2019. Already well established for their range of great-value gaming headsets, the Sabre offers gamers a distinctly higher-end experience at the price of £29.99, without the exorbitant price point typically associated with a headset of such distinction.

Delivering quality and features unrivalled at the price point, the Sabre looks, feels and sounds every inch a premium product, from the quality metal, self-adjusting headband which adapts to the users head size, greatly cushioned foam ear-cups for sustained comfort, even for glasses and piercing wearers. Sennheiser Launches GSP370 Wireless Gaming Headset, 100 Hours of Battery Life

Sennheiser today launched the GSP370 gaming headset, which will allow you to immerse yourself in virtual worlds for as many as 100 hours between charges. Sennheiser have managed to improve power efficiency of the GSP370 over their current flagship, the GSP670, by more than five times - that one headset only lasts between 16 and 20 hours for each full charge. And this battery efficiency didn't come at the cost of maximum output levels - the 117dB SPL makes sure of that.

There's a noise-canceling mic in the headset, and memory foam pads appeal to comfort and extended gaming sessions. The GPS370 is compatible with PC, Mac, and PlayStation 4 (and Xbox as well with the headphone adapters or newer controllers) and is available on Sennheiser's website starting today for $199.95. Data transmission is taken care of by Bluetooth 5.0 (in a dongle adapter) and there's a micro USB charging cable in the box, which is enough to power the headset for usage even if its battery runs completely dry. Sennheiser will also include its GSA 50 headset hanger, which normally sells for $38, for free.

Celebrating 10 years of Innovation, Performance, and Excellence, ORIGIN PC Upgrades the Big O Custom PC

ORIGIN PC is celebrating its 10th anniversary of building world class high-performance custom PCs for gamers, enthusiasts, and professionals with a one-of-a-kind gaming system showcasing the best of PC gaming and console gaming. The system is called Big O, which combines a high-powered gaming PC with an Xbox One X, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Nintendo Switch inside a modified ORIGIN PC GENESIS chassis. This build is a throwback to the original award-winning Big O system built in the early years of ORIGIN PC's history that at the time combined a powerful gaming PC with an Xbox 360.

By using their case modding and PC building expertise, the ORIGIN PC team spent countless hours testing, designing, and building the modern Big O as a stunning technical showpiece. With inspiration from previous custom builds, the Big O offers an incredible hardline liquid cooling solution for the Intel Core i9-9900K CPU and NVIDIA TITAN RTX GPU, which also extends to the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro. As for the Nintendo Switch, the team built a custom dock in the front panel of the Big O using the original hardware in order to retain the complete "docking" capabilities of the system. Thus the Nintendo Switch can be docked for full screen gameplay or removed to take gaming on the go.

PC Beats PS4 as Ubisoft's Most Lucrative Platform

Ubisoft posted its FY2019-20 financial report recently, and made a very interesting disclosure: PC has surpassed PlayStation 4 to become Ubisoft's most revenue-generating platform. For the quarter ending June 2019, PC accounted for 34 percent of Ubisoft's "net bookings" (a unit of sale of a product or service). This figure stood at 24 percent last year. With PC at 34 percent, PlayStation 4 takes the second spot at 31 percent, Xbox One at 18 percent, and Switch at 5 percent.

The surge in revenues from PC are attributed to "Anno 1800" and the UPlay application that rivals Steam in providing direct sales, DRM, updates, and social networking for gamers. "The 34 percent was pushed by Anno, which is a PC-specific game, but even with that launch, we had a very good performance on PC overall," said CEO Yves Guillemot, in the post-results investors call. "Anno 1800" is distributed both on UPlay and Epic Games Store. Ubisoft will be pushing out two expansion packs for "Anno 1800" this year.

DICE Committed to Large Maps in Battlefield V as Tweaking Continues Pre-launch

With the Battlefield V beta only recently ending, it didn't take long for players to start asking how large the maps will be in this installment of the franchise. With the community asking questions, DICE was quick to respond, with Lead Multiplayer Designer Valerian Noghin, Multiplayer Producer David Sirland, and Level Designer Jeff Gagné all responding on Twitter.

An image posted on Twitter by DICE shows the Breakthrough for Hamada map. Giving a rough idea of not only it's overall layout, but scale, thanks to the inserted image showing the player's perspective. Measuring in at 1500 m from the attacker's to the defender's main headquarters, it is certainly larger than the maps in the beta. Furthermore, David Sirland has stated that the majority of the map shown will be available in the game's Conquest mode. While the map is not final, it has been stated that any changes at this point will likely be minor.

This Is the Police 2: Out Now on Early Parole

Publisher THQ has just announced that the sequel to the well-received This is the Police, This is the Police 2, has now been released - for early parole! The previous August 2nd release date has been superseded by a sudden influx of criminality in Sharpwood - and gamers will now have the privilege of partaking in the crime-fighting brigade and become the new Sheriff in town.

This is the Police 2 improves on its 2016 predecessor in every which way, and it seems it's off to a good start, as reviews have already come out praisingly. A mixture of adventure and management, This is the Police II puts you in the boots of a Sheriff in Sharpwood, and you'll have to manage your retinue of police enforcers, their personal needs, their weakneses and their strenghts... much like in the real world. This editor enjoyed the easy-going nature of the first game, but it hits a little too close to home. The revamped This is the Police 2 now is saddled with much better code, deeper mechanics, and difficult moral choices as in the first game, and is now available on Steam, with Autumn availability for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X. Head on after the break for the game trailer.

Sony Closely Associated with AMD "Navi" Development

AMD monetizes its GPU IP not just with discrete graphics cards and integrated graphics in its PC processors, but also by selling semi-custom SoCs for most modern game consoles, such as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with some of the newer 4K UHD-capable models such as the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X even leveraging newer graphics architectures by the company, such as "Polaris." 2020 could see the roll out of next-generation gaming consoles, which are more purpose-built for 4K UHD gaming, with visual fidelity matching gaming PCs, and so console manufacturers are looking for a lean and powerful new GPU IP. Sony seems to have made up its mind of sticking with AMD.

AMD will supply a semi-custom SoC to Sony for its next major console, "PlayStation 5." This chip will feature a graphics processor based on the "Navi" architecture, which succeeds "Vega." 2020 could also be the year when the 7 nm silicon fabrication process achieves some maturity and makes up most of the bulk ASIC production nodes. According to Tweaktown, Sony is closely working with AMD for the development of the "Navi" architecture itself, so versions of it are efficient enough to be deployed in console SoCs that are built to a cost. The design goal will be to enable 4K @ 60 Hz gaming, as 4K televisions will have proliferated a lot by 2020.

Bethesda Releases Gameplay Trailer for RAGE 2

Mankind is in peril. In the decades following an asteroid's devastation, most of the earth has become an unforgiving wildland where bloodthirsty factions vie for control of precious resources. Pockets of civilization have emerged to claim their space in the world, but the tentative peace they've established is being threatened. RAGE 2 follows Walker, the last Ranger of Vineland, as he fights to survive the chaos of the dystopian world into which he was born. Get your first look at the insane action in the worldwide gameplay reveal trailer below and check out the live action teaser released on May 14 here. RAGE 2 will be launching on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2019.

The Open-World Shooterverse
It's the perfect mix: id Software's first-person shooter pedigree, Avalanche Studios' mastery of the open world sandbox, with a healthy dose of pedal-to-the-metal vehicle combat. From the swamplands and jungles where enemies lurk among the dense foliage, to the open deserts where a passing car is more likely to mow you down than offer you a ride, the world of RAGE 2 is not a gentle, nurturing place. The people who have survived in this landscape have had to learn to protect themselves and keep their heads on a swivel, especially with the reemergence of a familiar menace.

Codemasters Announces Release Date for F1 2018

Codemasters and Koch Media today announced that F1 2018, the official videogame of the 2018 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, will immerse players into the world of Formula 1 more than ever before. F1 2018 will release onto PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X and Windows PC (DVD and via Steam) worldwide on Friday 24th August 2018, the weekend of the FORMULA 1 2018 BELGIAN GRAND PRIX at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps Circuit.

BenQ Intros Zowie RL2755T 27-inch "Console eSports Monitor"

So "console-optimized monitors" are a thing. Apparently eSports players on consoles can't lug their big TVs around to BYOD events (local LAN parties), and so BenQ has come up with the Zowie RL2755T, which has been certified by Sony as an officially-licensed product for the PlayStation 4. The 27-inch monitor features a TN-film panel, with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 1 ms (GTG) response time, and up to 75 Hz refresh rate.

BenQ makes up for these specs otherwise brushed aside by PC gamers, with a narrow bezel design, low response-time, Black eQualizer (a feature that enhances dark areas of the screen to help you spot enemies), flicker-free brightness adjustments, and dynamic color vibrance that helps you spot distant enemies. The stand offers height and tilt adjustments. Display inputs include two HDMI inputs, and DVI. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Vampyr Gets New Action-Filled Gameplay Trailer

Vampyr, the upcoming action-RPG from DONTNOD Entertainment, explores tortured protagonist Dr. Jonathan Reid's growth in power through savage combat gameplay in today's Becoming a Monster gameplay trailer. By sacrificing the very citizens Reid swore to protect, players will learn and evolve powerful vampire abilities in their struggle to defeat London's deadly foes. Vampyr releases June 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with preorders now available.

In Vampyr, the greatest source of XP to learn and enhance abilities comes from the blood of London's citizens, who Dr. Jonathan Reid has set out to save from the epidemic sweeping through the city. The question is less "Do I kill?" than "Who do I kill?" Investigating citizens' lives will allow Reid to decide who is more 'deserving' of sacrifice - or he can simply give in to his hunger and treat the mortals as blood bags. Either way, killing certain citizens will have a greater impact on the local ecosystem than others, while simply killing too many may cause an entire district to collapse.

While the original was limited to 720p resolution, PC players will be able to enjoy the remastered version in native 4K resolution at a frame rate of 60 FPS if they have the necessary hardware to run it, of course. Unfortunately, Bandai Namco hasn't officially released the system requirements for Dark Souls: Remastered. However, the overall textures, lighting, and effects have been improved in the remastered version. The level of quality should be similar to that of Dark Souls 3. The minimum system requirements for Dark Souls 3 were set at an Intel Core i3-2100 processor, 4GB of memory, and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics card. We can expect similar system requirements for Dark Souls: Remastered.

NVIDIA Turing is a Crypto-mining Chip Jen-Hsun Huang Made to Save PC Gaming

When Reuters reported Turing as NVIDIA's next gaming graphics card, we knew something was off about it. Something like that would break many of NVIDIA's naming conventions. It now turns out that Turing, named after British scientist Alan Turing, who is credited with leading a team of mathematicians that broke the Nazi "Enigma" cryptography, is a crypto-mining and blockchain compute accelerator. It is being designed to be compact, efficient, and ready for large-scale deployment by amateur miners and crypto-mining firms alike, in a quasi-industrial scale.

NVIDIA Turing could be manufactured at a low-enough cost against GeForce-branded products, and in high-enough scales, to help bring down their prices, and save the PC gaming ecosystem. It could have an ASIC-like disruptive impact on the graphics card market, which could make mining with graphics cards less viable, in turn, lowering graphics card prices. With performance-segment and high-end graphics cards seeing 200-400% price inflation in the wake of crypto-currency mining wave, PC gaming is threatened as gamers are lured to the still-affordable new-generation console ecosystems, led by premium consoles such as the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. There's no word on which GPU architecture Turing will be based on ("Pascal" or "Volta"). NVIDIA is expected to launch its entire family of next-generation GeForce GTX 2000-series "Volta" graphics cards in 2018.
