SCHENKER Launches New KEY Series Workstation Laptops, KEY 14 and KEY 16 Pro, and KEY 17 Pro

SCHENKER is updating the KEY series with three new models for 2024. As the most powerful laptop in the portfolio, the 17.3-inch KEY 17 Pro desktop replacement workstation receives a significant upgrade to its comprehensive features: two Thunderbolt 5 ports allow for maximum flexibility. With the fastest laptop processor, the Intel Core i9-14900HX, and graphics cards up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, the Varjo-Ready-certified KEY 17 Pro excels as a powerful, professional VR and content creation workstation. New additions to the product range include the 14-inch SCHENKER KEY 14 with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and the 16-inch KEY 16 Pro with an Intel Core i9-14900HX. Both models feature graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 4070 and are NVIDIA GeForce RTX Studio certified.

SCHENKER KEY 17 Pro: Desktop Replacement Workstation with Two Thunderbolt 5 Ports, PCIe 5.0 SSD, Optional UHD Display, and Varjo-Ready Certification
The SCHENKER KEY 17 Pro (M24) succeeds its predecessor with a crucial upgrade: two Thunderbolt 4 ports have been replaced by two Thunderbolt 5 ports with a total bandwidth of 80 Gbps (shared by both ports, depending on the bandwidth requirement per connection) for the best display experience. This laptop provides maximum performance with the next generation of Thunderbolt 5 peripherals, such as multifunctional docking stations and high-performance external storage solutions or the newest DP2.1 based displays. One of these multi-purpose ports can also support charging the workstation with up to 100 watts. The significantly increased bandwidth compared to the previous generation allows for the operation of up to three external 4K monitors at 144 Hz or dual 6K displays. Thunderbolt 5 technology offers maximum flexibility, being backwards compatible with existing Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 and USB peripherals. Additionally, Thunderbolt Share enables direct data exchange and ultra-low-latency screen sharing between two computers.

Schenker-built Tuxedo Sirius 16 Notebook Powered by Ryzen 7040 Showcased

Back at the Schenker booth, we also spied the Tuxedo Computers Sirius 16. Schenker is the OEM/SI for this brand, which specializes in notebooks, mobile workstations, mini-PCs, commercial desktops, and large workstations; with the singular design goal of making them 100% compatible with and optimized for popular PC Linux distributions, hence the name. These Linux-friendly PCs are designed and assembled in Germany. The Tuxedo Sirius 16, as its name suggests, features a 16-inch 16:9 1440p display; and an illuminated keyboard. All its ports, connectors, audio, and networking interfaces have been tested for 100% compatibility and performance on Linux.

Under the hood is an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS "Phoenix" processor, with its 8-core/16-thread "Zen 4" CPU, and a cTDP set by Tuxedo at 54 W. This is paired with dual-channel DDR5 SO-DIMM slots, with options going all the way up to 96 GB. Graphics is care of a discrete AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT with 8 GB of memory, and 130 W configured power limit. The notebook features an all-metal chassis, and since the cooling solution isn't as elaborate on the XMG Neo 17 with its bulky 150 W CPU and 175 W GPU; Schenker used the space to cram in an 80 Wh battery (whereas the XMG Neo 17 has a 99 Wh pack). The 40 Gbps USB4 port from the "Phoenix" SoC is wired out. Neato.

Schenker XMG CORE 16 Gets Ryzen 7 7840HS and GeForce RTX 4070

With the XMG CORE 16, XMG's CORE series gets a new 16-inch model, whose features are based on the current top models of the NEO seri
es in many details. Powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 7840HS and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or 4060, the laptop is aimed at the upper mid-range, but also adds features from the premium segment. SCHENKER Announces VISION 14 and VISION 16 (Pro) Notebooks

SCHENKER's premium ultrabook series VISION upgrades to Intel's Core i7-13700H and also receives a graphics card update. Aside from the VISION 16 Pro with a GeForce RTX 4070 or 4060, the VISION 16 is only available with an Intel Iris Xe GPU. On the other hand, the VISION 14 with a 99 Wh battery and 3K display offers a choice between a model with Iris Xe and GeForce RTX 3050 Refresh. Schenker Technologies updates the 16-inch premium ultrabook SCHENKER VISION 16 Pro in the model version M23 (Mid 2023) to the latest level of technology - with a fast Intel Core i7-13700H featuring 6 performance and 8 efficiency cores as well as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or 4060 as freely configurable options, each with a GPU performance of up to 95 watts (70 watts plus 25 watts Dynamic Boost 2.0).

Schenker XMG Unveils Enthusiast "Raptor Lake" and RTX 4090 Powered Mobile Powerhouses

German boutique gaming notebook and mobile workstation builder Schenker XMG unveiled its latest line of mobile powerhouses that combine 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake-HX" mobile processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-series "Ada Lovelace" Laptop GPUs. The 2023 XMG Neo 17 packs an 8P+16E Core i9-13900HX processor, two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with 175 W power limit, and a 17-inch 16:10 2560 x 1600 pixels display that supports G-SYNC. The machine supports NVIDIA Advanced Optimus power management. Its centered keyboard features Cherry MX ULP Tactile mechanical keyswitches. The XMG Neo 17 is designed to provide a power-packed mobile workstation and gaming experience on the move. SCHENKER Announces VIA 15 Pro and WORK series Ultrabooks

With the new VIA 15 Pro, SCHENKER has put together a unique overall package: The 1.45 kg ultrabook integrates AMD's efficient eight-core Ryzen 7 5700U, a 15.6 inch WQHD IPS display and two freely accessible and upgradeable M.2 SSD and RAM slots - a combination that is usually only found in significantly heavier gaming laptops with dedicated graphics cards. Unlike these, however, the VIA 15 Pro features AMD's energy-efficient, integrated Radeon graphics unit. With this outfit, the ultrabook is aimed at developers, programmers, and creative professionals, among others. The all-round office laptops SCHENKER WORK 15 and WORK 17 are also being updated with Intel's Alder Lake-P processors.

One of the most striking features of the SCHENKER VIA 15 Pro is a performance-enhanced AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with eight cores and 16 threads: instead of running the CPU with a TDP of 15 watts, which is common in the ultrabook sector, it can operate permanently at 35 watts in the highest performance profile ("enthusiast") - this way, it outperforms the majority of ULV processors and achieves a multi-score of 3937 points in Cinebench R20. The laptop's dual-fan cooling system was adopted from the 2020 predecessor model of the VIA 15 Pro, so it is designed for less efficient CPUs from the 54 watt TDP class and therefore guarantees superior and quiet cooling. Those who require somewhat less performance may select the medium performance profile ("balanced") for particularly quiet operation. Switching is possible in real time at the touch of a button via a keyboard shortcut.

Schenker (XMG) Predicts New Laptop Delays Due to Component Shortages

China is reacting to new outbreaks of the Omicron variant of the Coronavirus with partial lockdowns. This could further delay the availability of laptops with 12th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA's Ti graphics cards, which debuted at the beginning of the year. The first factories have already been closed in Suzhou in the east of the country. Supply chain and logistics bottlenecks, a shortage of certain chip types and price increases are already on the horizon.

They also boast plenty of performance thanks to Intel's Core i7-10870H with 8 cores, in addition to a mobile NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or 3070 with 16 or 8 GB GDDR6 memory respectively. Both GPUs operate at a TGP of 90 watts, plus a dynamic boost of an additional 15 watts.
