Thermalright Intros Peerless Assassin 120 SE White ARGB CPU Cooler

Thermalright today rolled out the Peerless Assassin 120 SE White ARGB, a variant of the Peerless Assassin 120 cooler that the company originally launched in April 2021. For the most part, the new aluminium dual fin-stack cooler is identical to the original, spare for a few changes. As a "white" trim, the cooler is completely whitewashed in a matte white coating that covers the aluminium fins, the nickel-plated and copper heat pipes. The included TL-C12CW-S ARGB fans are a white variant of the TL-C12C-S, come with white frames, frosty impellers, and ARGB illumination. The original's fans were either all-black or all-white. Thermalright also did away with the decorative top-plate for the two fin-stacks, lowering the Z-height of the cooler to 155 mm, compared to 157 mm on the original. Lastly, the new cooler comes with out-of-the-box support for Intel Socket LGA1700, besides AM4 and LGA1200. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Thermalright Intros CFX Thermal Compound with Wide Temperature Range

Thermalright today introduced the CFX thermal compound. The compound offers a wide temperature range of -50°C to 150°C, while being electrically non-conductive. Its conductivity is rated at 12 W/m-K, with a thermal impedance of 0.009 °C-cm²/W, and has a specific gravity of 2.3 at 25°C. The company didn't mention the composition or viscosity of the paste. It ships in 2 g syringes and includes a spatula, so it could be more on the viscous side. The company didn't reveal pricing or availability.

Thermalright Intros Valor Odin Series Thermal Pads

Thermalright today introduced the Valor Odin series of thermal pads that you can use to improve the cooling performance of your motherboard's VRM heatsinks, M.2 SSD heatsinks, or your graphics card's coolers (to better pull heat from the memory chips or VRM). The company claims that the pad offers thermal conductivity of 15 W/mK, which is in the league of thermal pastes. The pad uses aluminium nitride as a key ingredient, while maintaining electrical non-conductivity up to 9.8 kV, and has a density of 3.1 g/cc. There are three variants of the Thermalright Valor Odin based on pad thickness—1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2.0 mm, all with the same density and thermal characteristics. Each pack includes a sheet measuring 95 mm x 50 mm, which you cut to size. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Thermalright today introduced the Assassin King 120 Mini WHITE ARGB, an interesting option from the company's fast-growing collection of air-type CPU coolers. The cooler is completely whitewashed—the aluminium fin-stack, the heat-pipes, even most of the base. The included TL-D12W-S 120 mm fan comes with a white frame and impeller, too, although the impeller is frost silicone, and diffuses ARGB illumination from the hub. Thermalright is on a roll with top-flow CPU cooler launches lately, and just added its latest creation, the AXP90-X47 Full Copper. Fit for low-profile builds, this 47 mm-tall top-flow cooler, as its name suggests, uses a heatsink that's made almost entirely of copper, complete from the base-plate to the heat-pipes, to the dissipation-fins, with the only non-copper bits being the retention module.

Thermalright today introduced the Frost Spirit 140 BLACK V3, a variant of the Frost Spirit 140 that the company introduced in 2019. The dual fin-stack cooler has been redone with black anodized aluminium fins, heat-pipes, and a nickel-plated C1100-grade copper base.

Thermalright today rolled out the AXP90-X36 Black, a low-profile, top-flow CPU cooler. If you're having a sense of deja vu right now, it's probably because of the recent launch of the AXP90-X53 Black, a slightly taller cooler from the brand that looks similar. The numerals in the model names are key here. The "90" denotes fan diameter in mm, while the "36" denotes the cooler's height of just 36 mm. The older AXP90-X53 Black is 53 mm-tall.

The new AXP90-X36 Black uses essentially the same design, and an identical TL-9015B fan, but a slimmer heatsink. It still uses four 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes that make indirect contact through a copper base-plate; which twist into the fin-stack, and are ventilated by the 90 mm spinner, which turns at speeds of up to 2,700 RPM pushing up to 42.58 CFM of airflow, at noise levels as low as 22.4 dBA. The latest in Thermalright's streak of CPU cooler launches is the Peerless Assassin 120 Black. This is the company's second D-type (dual fin-stack tower) CPU cooler launch in a month, following the Frost Commander 140. As their names might suggest, the Peerless Assassin 120 Black is slightly smaller than the Frost Commander 140, and is designed for fans no larger than 120 mm.

Thermalright Intros TA 120 EX Tower-type CPU Cooler

Thermalright is on a roll with its streak of recent CPU cooler launches, the latest of which, is the TA 120 EX. Positioned a notch above its TRUE Spirit 120 series, the TA 120 EX is characterized by a dense aluminium fin stack with 52 fins packed with a gap of 1.6 mm, compared to 48 fins on the TRUE Spirit 120. The cooler is slightly larger and heavier, too. Heat drawn through a mirror-finish copper base, is conveyed to the fin stack through five 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes.

Thermalright today rolled out the AXP90-X47, a low-profile CPU cooler meant for compact Mini-ITX builds where Z-height is at a premium. Thermalright Frost Commander 140 is a Large Dual Fin-Stack Cooler Out to Snack on AIOs

Thermalright unveiled its new flagship air cooler, the Frost Commander 140. This massive "D-type" dual fin-stack cooler is designed for conventional tower-type builds. With a height of exactly 160 mm, the cooler might scrape the side-panel of most mid-tower cases. Two equal-sized stacks of 53 aluminium fins, each, are skewered by five 8 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes that make indirect contact with the CPU through a mirror-finished nickel-plated copper base. There are two fans included with the cooler, a smaller 120 mm fan pushes fresh air into the first fin-stack while a larger 140 mm fan between the two fin-stacks conveys this air through the second fin-stack. Mounting clips are included letting you mount up to three fans that are up to 140 mm in size.

The included 120 mm fan, TL-C12, turns at speeds of up to 1,850 RPM ±10%, pushing up to 82 CFM of air, at up to 2.10 mm H₂O static pressure, and up to 29.6 dBA noise output. Thermalright today introduced the Silver Arrow ITX-R Rev A, a compact dual aluminium fin-stack CPU cooler with a low footprint, designed for maximum clearance around the CPU socket area, making it ideal for Mini-ITX tower gaming PC builds. A revision of the original Silver Arrow ITX-R from 2017, the new Rev A comes with a slightly smaller aluminium fins toward the bottoms of the fin-stacks, which reduce the heatsink's weight by 30 g, but improve clearance around the CPU socket. Thermalright also took the opportunity to update the included fan, which is now a TY-129B. Thermalright today introduced the Venomous Plus, its latest tower-type CPU cooler and a re-take on the 10+ year old Venomous X. Designed to tackle thermal loads of up to 240 W, the Venomous Plus features a classic aluminium fin-stack design. Six 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes make indirect contact with the CPU at the mirror-finished base made of the same material; passing through the aluminium fin-stack that's ventilated by a TL-C12S 120 mm fan. The heatsink by itself measures 127 mm x 60 mm x 158 mm (WxDxH), weighing 660 g, and holding 51 fins. The fan adds about 25-27 mm in width.

The included TL-C12S fan is one of the key things setting this apart from the Venomous X. Thermalright introduced the TY-121BP FDB, a 120 mm case fan optimized for circulation applications. Built in a standard 25 mm-thick 120 mm format with rubberized frame mounts. The package includes rubber bolts in addition to metal screws. The fan features a long life (>40,000-hours rated) fluid-dynamic bearing. Taking in 4-pin (PWM) input, it spins between 600 - 1,800 RPM pushing 25.76 CFM of air at its lowest speed, and 77.28 CFM at top speed, with up to 2.70 mm H2O air-pressure. The noise output proportionately ranges between 19 to 25 dBA. The fan is currently selling in single-piece packages priced at $20, multi-fan packs are also in the works.

Here are some of the first pictures of the Frost Spirit by Thermalright, the company's next flagship air CPU cooler. Featuring a dual fin-stack design, the Frost Spirit features dense fin-stacks, in which the fins bunch up toward the center, creating turbulence and increasing heat-dissipation to the medium (air-flow). The fin-stack gets slimmer toward the base, adding clearance for your motherboard's memory and CPU VRM areas. Four 8 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes pull heat from the mirror-finish nickel-plated copper base, spreading it across the fin-stacks. Both stacks are capped off by metal top-plates. Thermalright rolled out the AXP-90 Full Copper top-flow CPU cooler for low-profile PC builds. A smaller sibling of the AXP-100 Full Copper, and a variant of the aluminium-based original AXP-90, this cooler features a dense copper fin-stack that's arranged along the plane of the motherboard. Four 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes make indirect contact with the CPU over a mirror-finish copper base-plate, pulling heat through the fin-stack. A 15 mm-thick 92 mm TL-9015R fan ventilates the fin-stack. This fan takes in 4-pin PWM input, spins at speeds of up to 2,700 RPM, pushing up to 42.58 CFM of air, with as low as 22.4 dBA of noise output. With the fan in place, the AXP-90 Full Copper measures 97 mm x 92 mm x 47 mm (WxDxH), weighing 490 g. There are two sub-variants of the cooler specific to CPU socket type supported, the AXP-90 Full Copper LGA115X, and AXP-90 Full Copper AM4. Available on Chinese e-tailers such as T-Mall, the AXP-90 Full Copper is priced at RMB 299, or the equivalent of USD $42.70.

Thermalright Rolls Out the True Spirit 90M Rev B CPU Cooler

Thermalright today rolled out the True Spirit 90M Rev B CPU cooler. A major update to the True Spirit 90M Rev A from 2013, the Rev B comes with four 6 mm-thick heat-pipes instead of three. The aluminium fin-stack pushed slightly further to the left and top to free up more clearance near the motherboard's memory area and the M.2 slot closest to the CPU socket. It also has an updated aesthetic (different fan colors). Support is added for some of the newer CPU sockets, such as AM4.

Interestingly, the thermal load capacity between the two revisions remains unchanged at 120 Watts. Measuring 102 mm x 50 mm x 125 mm (WxDxH), the cooler weighs 365 g, which is in fact 22 g lighter than the Rev A. The fan takes in 4-pin PWM input, spins between 800 to 2,000 RPM, and pushes up to 39.36 CFM of air, with a noise output of 27 dBA. The True Spirit 90M Rev B replaces the Rev A at its $29 price.

Thermalright Enters the AIO CLC Market with the Turbo Right Series

Thermalright set the standards for CPU cooling with its iconic tower-type heatsinks through the 2000s. The company finally bit the AIO liquid cooling bullet with the new Turbo Right series. Unlike other closed-loop coolers (CLCs), the Turbo Right ships with a full-copper radiator, in which both the fins and coolant channels are made of copper. The base is made of mirror-finished nickel-plated copper. These coolers come with a fill-port and an extra 100 ml of coolant, so you can replenish it over time. The pump-block features an ornament on top with RGB LED lighting.

For now, the Turbo Right comes in two variants based on radiator size, the Turbo Right 240C, and the Turbo Right 360C, featuring 240 mm x 120 mm and 360 mm x 120 mm radiators, respectively. Depending on the variant, you get two or three TY-121BP 120 mm fans, which take in 4-pin PWM input, spin between 600 to 1,800 RPM, and push between 25.76 to 77.28 CFM of air, with a noise output of 19 to 25 dBA, each. Among the CPU sockets supported are LGA2066, LGA115x, and AM4.

Thermalright today rolled out the Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B CPU cooler. Thermalright has made changes to the design to make sure the fin-stack is slightly offset from the base in directions that free up headroom near the memory area and topmost expansion slot of a typical mainstream-desktop motherboard, giving you easy access to the memory and M.2 slots closest to the CPU socket.

Heat drawn from a heavier mirror-finished nickel-plated copper base is conveyed to the fin-stacks by eight 6 mm-thick heat pipes. The lavish use of heavy copper used in this heatsink make it tip the scales at 850 g, without fans. With both its fans installed, the Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B can handle thermal loads of up to 320W. Each of the two included TY-143 140 mm fans spin between 600 to 2,500 RPM, pushing 31.4 to 130 CFM of air, with a noise output ranging between 21 to 45 dBA. Thermalright has updated the CPU socket support to include AM4 and LGA2066, besides LGA115x and LGA2011(v3). The heatsink measures 155 mm x 130 mm x 163 mm (LxWxH). The company didn't reveal pricing.

Thermalright HR-22 Plus Black Heatsink Pictured

Thermaltake is ready with an all-black version of the HR-22 Plus CPU heatsink. This monstrosity, pictured next to a 350 ml soda can for scale, can handle processors with up to 65 W TDP without needing a fan, and over 200 W with up to two 120 mm fans mounted in push-pull fashion. The black variant features anodized aluminium fins and nickel-plated copper fins. The fin-stack consists of 35 large indented and punched fins through which eight 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes pass, which indirectly pull heat from a nickel-plated copper base. Measuring 150 mm x 120 mm x 159 mm (LxWxH), the heatsink alone weighs 1.12 kg. The company didn't reveal pricing or availability, but apparently this variant is available in China.

Thermalright Intros AXP-100 Full Copper CPU Cooler

The last time Thermalright gave a "Full Copper" twist to one of its bestselling CPU coolers was 10 years ago. The AXP-100 Full Copper sees the coming together of a pure copper fin-stack, six 6 mm exposed copper heat pipes, a copper base for indirect transfer to the heat pipes, and a reddish-orange fan. The height of the heatsink is 44 mm, which interestingly, is less than even that of the AXP-100 RH (reduced height) variant. The heatsink measures 108 mm x 121 mm x 44 mm (WxDxH), weighing 640 g, almost double that of the AXP-100 RH, and about the same as the AXP-100 Muscle. The included TY-100 fan is a 120 mm spinner, with a range of 900 to 2,500 RPM, PWM input, 16 to 44.5 CFM air-flow, and 22 to 30 dBA noise output. Thermalright today introduced a variant of its Silver Arrow dual fin-stack, tower-type CPU cooler for AMD socket TR4, meant for Ryzen Threadripper processors. Capable of handling thermal loads of up to 320W, the cooler can be paired with even upcoming 250W TDP 24-core and 32-core Threadripper II models. Although bearing the same name, the Silver Arrow TR4 bears little design resemblance with the Silver Arrow ITX-R or the Silver Arrow SB-E, or even the original Silver Arrow from 2010. It's the largest cooler of this class, with an enlarged nickel-plated copper base designed to provide full coverage of the Threadripper IHS, from which eight 6 mm-thick heat pipes draw heat, with the two aluminium fin-stacks propagating along their ends.

Nested between the two fin-stacks is a 140 mm fan which takes in 4-pin PWM input, spins between 600 to 2,500 RPM, pushing 53.3 - 220.9 m³/h, with a noise output ranging between 21 - 45 dBA. With its fan in place, the Silver Arrow TR4 measures 155 mm x 103 mm x 163 mm (LxWxH). The narrow width ensures clearance for the memory slots that flank the CPU socket from either side. The fin-stack itself is offset sideways to ensure clearance for the topmost PCI-Express slot on your motherboard. You can latch on two additional fans. Thermalright today introduced a pair of high-end CPU air coolers specially designed for AMD socket AM4 processors, the ARO-M14. Available in two variants, the ARO-M14G with a grey top-plate, and the ARO-M14O, with a "Ryzen Orange" top-plate, the two coolers are heavily based on the company's HR-02 Macho Rev B cooler, but feature socket AM4 retention modules (support no other socket), an embossed Ryzen logo on the top-plate, and come with pre-applied thermal paste. A 2 g Chill Factor syringe is included for future top-ups.

The ARO-M14 features a large aluminium fin-stack that propagates at an offset from the base, for additional memory area clearance. Unlike the Macho Direct, it features a nickel-plated copper base through which six 6 mm-thick heat-pipes pass, indirectly drawing heat. The aluminium fin-stack is capped off by a die-cast metal plate. An included TY-147 A 140 mm fan, spinning between 300 - 1,300 RPM, pushes air through the heatsink at 28.7 - 125 m³/h, with a noise output of 15 - 21 dB(A). Thermalright claims the cooler can handle TDP of up to 240W. The company didn't reveal pricing.
