Thermalright Intros Assassin King 120 Mini WHITE ARGB CPU Cooler

Thermalright today introduced the Assassin King 120 Mini WHITE ARGB, an interesting option from the company's fast-growing collection of air-type CPU coolers. The cooler is completely whitewashed—the aluminium fin-stack, the heat-pipes, even most of the base. The included TL-D12W-S 120 mm fan comes with a white frame and impeller, too, although the impeller is frost silicone, and diffuses ARGB illumination from the hub. Five 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes pull heat from a C1100 nickel-plated copper base, conveying heat to an aluminium fin-stack, which is ventilated by a 120 mm fan.

The TL-D12W-S fan features a fluid-dynamic bearing, turns at speeds of up to 1,500 RPM, pushing up to 64.87 CFM of airflow, at 1.53 mm H₂O static pressure, and 25.6 dBA noise output. It takes in 4-pin PWM for its main function, and 3-pin ARGB for the lighting. The Assassin King 120 Mini WHITE ARGB measures 120 mm x 96 mm x 135 mm (WxDxH), weighing 980 g. CPU socket types supported include LGA1200, LGA115x, AM4, and LGA2066. The company didn't reveal pricing.

To be honest, compared to the "There is not enough RGB - EVER" crowd I can totally understand the "all things must be black / white" crowd. I also have a total white and total black build (with some minor RGB) and have to say, I'm happy there are more options to create a unified look.

And white/black is not "out of the ordinary" - so moderate on and have fun with "all things black/rgb" or whatever rocks your boat as it obviously isn't "pure white" :P ;)

Actually, I could live with the black mounting brackets, since they wont be seen once the cooler is installed, therefore it meets my "White" standard.... :D

And just to clarify, my issue is/was with mfgr's that release products and call them "White", All White" etc., then make several of the more noticeable parts of it other colors, like BLACK of all colors !

Too bad I'm not looking for a white air cooler ATM, cause if I was I would probably get one of these asap....

e.g. GPU's with black/Green PCB and big areas where the "cover" lets it "shine through" while still being called "all white".

Totally agree with you :) (also about the "if I'd need one this would actually FINALLY be a working unit for my white build :) )

Lol, I was about to post the same thing, these names are next level stupid. I remember when I started building PCs TR was the top shit and had boring but BA technical sounding names. Thermalright go back to that please I'm trying to be an adult here.

Grown-up nomenclature that makes sense is totally out the window. These days its all about the "wow factor" in the name. If this were something like 10 years later, I would imagine them naming this something like "Ass King".

It is perplexing how they come up with the name for a cooler. Assassin King? Nothing on it looks like an assassin nor anything associated with an assassin.

Maybe because its going to either kill your wallet, your cpu, or both? Strike up your best heat ridding posture!

It won't kill any wallet for sure. If this is going for a high price, you can be sure it won't be popular in a sea of air coolers out in the market. Just because it is white does not mean that competitors will not launch an Assassin King competitor. The name is awful and totally off for this cooler. Its like saying, hey I am an Assassin in white and flashing with RGB, surely nobody can see me coming.
