More X2900XTX watercooling details

Last Saturday we brought you the first pictures of a watercooling setup that it's obvious target is the OEM market. Now the VR-Zone reveals two more closeups of this particular card and a few more technical details. The stock air cooler will allow the user to clock the graphics core up to 850MHz, whereas the watercooled one will hit it's limit above that.

Water-Cooled ATI X2900 XTX Video Card Pictured

VR-Zone brings us a picture from the water cooled version of the ATI R600 video card. The water cooling solution is probably provided by Aavid Thermalloy and coincidentally Aavid is preparing their Turbo Tube cold plates for mass production in May, same time as R600 launch. ATI's AIB partners can choose to use it, design their own or use a 3rd party water-cooler from Thermaltake.

Nvidia's 8950GX2 gets a block

Even before the 8950GX2 card hits the stores, blocks are already starting to appear. The Inquirer managed to snap a few shots of Alphacool's block, ready to cool the beast:

The block covers everything: GPU, RAM, NVIO1 chip, PWM...

The block looks very thin, which brings up concerns over its restriction/performance. Alphacool has produced some highly restrictive blocks in the past.

Asetek's new GPU watercooler pictured

Asetek which got quite famous with their phase change (aka 'vapor compression') coolers shows off their latest GPU cooler for water cooled setups at the CeBIT. As usual one of The Inquirers was a tad faster and so we got hold of the picture. Basically this cooler is aimed for the OEM market and there will be a G80 model (which got pictured) and a R600 one. Because of it's being partly air- (PCB and RAM) and partly water-cooled (GPU) it consumes a lot of room, the card together with the cooler will end up covering 2 slots.

Swiftech Introduces the Apogee GTX CPU Water-Block

Swiftech today announced the release of the new Apogee GTX CPU water-block. With enhanced thermal performance over the award winning Apogee GT, and dramatic styling inspired from the automotive after-market world, the Apogee GTX becomes Swiftech's new flagship CPU water-block. While the internal structure of both blocks is the same, the longer path between the ports gives the GTX a 1°C advantage over the GT at 100 Watts, making the GTX Swiftech's the new king. The Apogee GTX is shipped with an Intel Core 2 (socket 775) compatible hold-down plate and i-flow 1/2" chrome plated barb fittings. A multi-CPU/socket hold-down plate for AMD socket 754, 939, 940 processors as well as 3/8" chrome plated barb fittings are also available as optional products. Upcoming hold-down plates for Socket AM2 and even Socket F (AMD) will also be available by the end of March. The Apogee GTX water-block is available now for $75.95 MSRP at Swiftech online store.

Koolance 1200W Liquid-Cooled Power Supply

Koolance is now offering the world's first liquid-cooled ATX power supply rated at 1200W continuous and 1400W peak power. The PSU-1200ATX-12S features 96A over four 12V rails, modular cables, and 4 PCI-Express connectors for SLI and CrossFire support. It is able to unleash 1200W of continuous (1400W peak) power at greater than 80% efficiency by operating in a completely submerged state. All internal electronics are immersed in a non-conductive fluid and dissipated through an external heat exchanger, cooled by a temperature-controlled 120mm LED fan. The unit comes pre-filled and no ongoing coolant maintenance is required. The PSU-1200ATX-12S can be used in most ATX, E-ATX, and BTX chassis that provide for 9" (23cm) power supply depths, including cable space. The external heat exchanger can be rotated 180 degrees and moved vertically 2" (5cm) to avoid physical conflicts. The Koolance 1200W Liquid-Cooled PSU should be available after Feb 28, 2007 for $499.99 USD.
