Wizmax Displays PC Cases Inspired by Korean, Mondrian Style, and Sound Woofers

At Computex 2024, Wizmax, a manufacturer of computer hardware such as cases, headphones, mice, etc., offered an interesting perspective on the inspiration for its computer cases. Diversifying from the regular sleek panels, Wizmax turned to more traditional art when designing its PC case lineup. Starting with the M60-Moon, the case brings a traditional Korean design pattern on its front bezel, carrying a touch of cultural elegance to modern PC setups. This ATX form factor case supports 410 mm-long GPUs and 160 mm-tall CPU coolers. It also includes room for a 360 mm front water cooler, ensuring adequate airflow and cooling performance.

Wizmax at the 2023 Computex: GM and GX Series Cases, Titanium High-Wattage PSU

With their signature upward positioned front air vent, Wizmax cases were unmissable at the 2023 Computex. The company showcased four of the top case models, along with a new high-wattage ATX 3.0 PSU. The GX-3 Chang and GM-3 Moon are characterized by their distinct front-panel design that looks like a Chinese room divider pattern from the mid-19th century. Measuring 518 mm x 250 mm x 585 mm, the GX3-Chang features a horizontally-partitioned layout, its width opens up plenty of height for the CPU cooler and graphics card, of 18 cm; while you can use a graphics card up to 46 cm in length. The top- and front-panels each give you enough room for a radiator as big as 420 mm. Besides eight conventional add-on card slots, you get three vertical ones.

The GM3-Moon is a more compact mid-tower, measuring 485 mm x 225 mm x 392 mm, which opens up room for up to 34 cm long graphics cards, and up to 17.5 cm tall CPU coolers. You can mount a 360 mm radiator along the front-panel, and a radiator as large as 280 mm along the top panel. The GM1 Transform has a design novelty where its front-panel cover slides sideways to reveal a mesh intake. Don't want all those front fans glaring at you? Simply pull up the opaque front-panel. This mid-tower gives you room for graphics cards up to 35.5 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 16 cm in height, and no vertical slots. It comes in white and black color options.

Wizmax Micronics PC Cooling at CES: MA Frigate and MA Falcon CPU Coolers, Warp Shield Heatsinks

Wizmax by Micronics introduced a handful new CPU coolers and purpose-build heatsinks at the 2023 International CES. The CPU cooler lineup is led by the MA Frigate series. The MA4 Frigate, a thick single aluminium fin-stack tower-type cooler. Five 6 mm-thick copper heatpipes make direct contact with the CPU at the base, conveying heat through a thick aluminium fin-stack, which is ventilated by a custom-design 130 mm fan. With this fan in place, the cooler measures 132 mm x 95 mm x 156.4 mm (WxDxH), weighing 990 g. The fan turns at speeds of up to 1,500 RPM, pushing up to 71.7 CFM of airflow at 1.9 mm H₂O static-pressure. The MA4 Frigate is rated for handling thermal loads of up to 210 W.

The Wizmax MA6 Frigate is the larger sibling, with a type-D dual fin-stack design. Six 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heatpipes make indirect contact with the CPU through a copper base, conveying heat to two fin-stacks, which are ventilated by a pair of 140 mm fans in push-pull arrangement. One-third of the fins in the two fin-stacks are made of copper, and the rest aluminium. Each of the two 140 mm fans turns at speeds of up to 1,500 RPM, pushing up to 83 CFM of airflow at 2.2 mm H₂O. With the fans in place, the cooler measures 146 mm x 165 mm x 165 mm (WxDxH), weighing 1.6 kg. The MA6 Frigate is rated for 250 W thermal loads. Both coolers support the latest CPU socket types, including AM5 and LGA1700.

Wizmax Micronics New 2023 Power Supplies at CES: Amped Up for ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5

Wizmax by Micronics showed off four new PSU lines at the 2023 International CES. At the top of the stack is the Astro II Gold, a monstrous high-end PSU with 1650 W continuous output, 80 Plus Gold switching efficiency, ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5 standards compliance, and a patented digital-VRM voltage controller by Micronics. Other internal features include DC-to-DC switching a 135 mm fluid-dynamic bearing fan Zero RPM mode up to a certain electrical load, and fully-modular connectivity that includes two 16-pin ATX 12VHPWR connectors with 600 W continuous output each, twelve 6+2 pin PCIe power, two 4+4 pin EPS, and fourteen SATA power connectors.

The Astro II Platinum is technically positioned a notch below the Astro II Gold 1650 W, but is more efficient. The Astro II Platinum comes in 1300 W, 1000 W, and 850 W variants. The 1300 W variant offers two 16-pin 12VHPWR connectors (each 600 W), while the 1000 W and 850 W ones offer one such 16-pin connector. The three get their names from the 80 Plus Platinum switching efficiency on offer, besides a feature-packed AC receptacle with Surge 4K and ESD 15K tolerance, and fluid-dynamic bearing fans with zero RPM up to a certain load.

An Introduction to Wizmax, a New Gaming PC Hardware Brand Storming the Gates of CES
