ZOWIE Launches Wireless 4K Versions of Classic FK, ZA, and S Series Gaming Mice

ZOWIE is pleased to announce the release of the latest wireless versions of FK, ZA, and S series for Esports: FK2-DW, ZA13-DW, and S2-DW. Retaining their iconic shapes, these new wireless models have undergone rigorous testing, validated by sports science, to ensure improved performance in critical in-game actions such as micro adjustments, flick shots, lifting and tracking. Paired with our advanced 4K enhanced receiver, supporting up to 4,000 Hz polling rate, these models are designed to provide gamers with the precision and responsiveness needed to thrive in competitive environments.

FK2-DW Delivers Agile and Precise Micro Adjustments
The new wireless FK2-DW retains its signature low-hump design, lower than most competing mice, providing more space between the palm and the mouse. This design enhances flexibility for micro-adjustments, particularly when aiming at long distances or tracking moving targets. Sports science testing has shown that increasing the space between the palm and mouse allows for greater range of movement, leading to more precise micro-adjustments. Moreover, our research indicates that FK2-DW's design delivers shorter aiming time for shooting.

Its newly redesigned mouse feet ensure a glide experience reminiscent of other ZOWIE wired mice.

Sports Science in ZOWIE Mouse Design
At ZOWIE, each new shape undergoes meticulous research. Thorough qualitative interviews and usability tests on prototypes are conducted prior to each product launch. By leveraging sports science experiments, the team can evaluate various design proposals more objectively. ZOWIE believes that designs rooted in both qualitative and quantitative data empower our players to achieve higher levels of performance.

BenQ Introduces ZOWIE G-SR II Mouse Pad, Designed for Esports

We are pleased to announce the new G-SR II mousepad. The G-SR II adopts G-SR, offering a consistent smooth and controlled glide during mouse movements. The G-SR II has been improved to increase its resistance to humidity. Moreover, the new tighter cloth surface reduces issues with glide inconsistency after frequent use and enhances durability.

G-SR II's slightly smoother glide feel makes it easier to start moving the mouse; with less friction for mobility in multiple angle movement and long distance aiming, while at the same time maintaining similar stopping power for stable control. Check out more information here.

BenQ Announces ZOWIE XL-K Generation Monitors

The first XL monitor was launched in 2010. Back then, 3D technology was all the rage and almost every brand used 120Hz panels for 3D display applications. However, the very first XL monitor, the XL2410T, adopted the same panel for a totally different 2D application; esports. This was the result of a collaboration between BenQ's engineers and the original ZOWIE team, a group of veteran Counter-Strike players and enthusiasts. XL2410T was well accepted by the Counter-Strike community, not because of its cutting-edge technology, but because it was the first monitor able to support higher refresh rates at lower resolutions such as 4:3, 640 x 480 or 800 x 600 - the resolutions adopted by many CS players early on. It also had display modes and smart scaling to convince players that TFT LCD displays could compete with CRT monitors when it came to gameplay.

The development of the XL series has been steered by the focus of providing precise and customizable adjustment for players to perform to the best of their abilities in-game because in the world of eSports, players who take this sports seriously are the true stars. New technologies are not introduced unless it can enhance the in-game experience. Over time we have learned that each player has different visual and physical setup preferences. This is why every iteration of the XL series has been designed to help players see more clearly and play more smoothly and comfortably. During this process, BenQ acquired the ZOWIE brand along with the ZOWIE team in 2015. This was done with the objective of furthering the development of professional esports products.

BenQ Announces Matte Black Version of Zowie EC Series Gaming Mouse

The updated EC series was first released in a glossy finish as the DIVINA EC-B Series. This DIVINA range was released in conjunction with the DIVINA women's tournaments to further bring attention to women's esports. Since then, we have received positive feedback from professional, competitive and casual players alike. This is why we are now releasing the updated EC series in the standard black coating to meet more players' personal preferences. This series will be named EC-1 / EC-2, and like the DIVINA version, uses the 3360 sensor as well as the two large mouse feet design.

BenQ Intros Zowie RL2755T 27-inch "Console eSports Monitor"

So "console-optimized monitors" are a thing. Apparently eSports players on consoles can't lug their big TVs around to BYOD events (local LAN parties), and so BenQ has come up with the Zowie RL2755T, which has been certified by Sony as an officially-licensed product for the PlayStation 4. The 27-inch monitor features a TN-film panel, with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 1 ms (GTG) response time, and up to 75 Hz refresh rate.

BenQ makes up for these specs otherwise brushed aside by PC gamers, with a narrow bezel design, low response-time, Black eQualizer (a feature that enhances dark areas of the screen to help you spot enemies), flicker-free brightness adjustments, and dynamic color vibrance that helps you spot distant enemies. The stand offers height and tilt adjustments. Display inputs include two HDMI inputs, and DVI. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Benq Introduces Two Zowie Mice Models: EC1-B And EC2-B

Benq Zowie have introduced two new mice to their lineup, in the form of the EC1-B And EC2-B. These are gaming-oriented mice, and the proximity in their naming nomenclature isn't by accident: the only thing these mice differ in is size. The EC2-B has a rated "M" size, whereas the EC1-B should be more adequate for users with somewhat bigger hands, as it's rated a size "L". The two mice feature the top of the line Pixart PMW3360A sensor, but lack any of the integrated software capabilities of other mice.

As a result, these mice are truly plug and play; but due to the lack of software, users can switch only between 400, 800, 1600 and 3200 DPI through the integrated button. Which is, strangely, located in the bottom of the mice (accompanied by the polling rate button - 125, 500 and 1000 Hz - and indicator LEDs), which will make it harder for users who want to be able to adjust DPI speed on the fly. There will also be a CS:GO branded version of these, which forego the black finish and Zowie logo on the base models for a silver-blue coloring, and a gold CS:GO counter-terrorist icon. Pricing is expected to be around the $90 mark.

BenQ Announces the ZOWIE XL2536 Monitor with DyAc

BenQ rolled out the ZOWIE XL2536 gaming monitor featuring DyAc (Dynamic Accuracy). This 25-inch (24.5-inch viewing area) monitor features Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, but bolstered by 144 Hz refresh-rate, and 1 ms (gray to gray) response-time. The DyAc feature helps keep the screen steady in fast-paced game sequences by compensating for motion-blur from the game. In theory, this should improve your accuracy in first-person shooters that have gun recoil mechanics. There's also an OSD crosshair to help you out with aim. The Black eQualizer feature improves contrast in dark areas of an otherwise bright 3D scene, letting you spot campers hiding in the dark.

Other key specs of the ZOWIE XL2536 include 320 cd/m² maximum brightness, 1,000:1 static, and 12M:1 dynamic contrast ratios. The monitor features a non-PWM method of controlling brightness of its LED back-lighting, making it flicker-free. Display inputs include one each of HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2, and dual-link DVI-D. Other features include a 2-port USB 3.0 hub, and audio jacks. The stand allows height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. The company didn't reveal pricing.

BenQ announces ZOWIE XL 2546 PC e-Sports Monitor with DyAc

Since its release in Dec. 2016, the XL2540 has become the monitor of choice for tournaments such as ESL Pro League Season 5, ESL ONE Cologne, PGL, DreamHack Open Series and other tournaments with competitive FPS titles. The new XL2546 has the same increased smoothness that was introduced in the XL2540 and the addition of DyAc provides increased movement clarity in-game. Actions with vigorous screen movement, such as spraying of weapons will benefit most from DyAc as being able to see more clearly can help with recoil control.

Like the XL2540, the benefits of the XL2546 and its native 240Hz refresh rate can be fully activated when the computer generates over 240 frames per second(FPS). As such, one should make certain their PC performance is up to par before considering either monitor. The ZOWIE XL 2546 with DyAc will make its tournament debut at DreamHack Atlanta 2017 where it has been selected as the official monitor.

Zowie Announces EC eVo White and AM-FG

One of the most interesting things about e-Sports is that it is a competitive activity, which is not limited by a player's physical capability. Players are able to compete against other players on response time, creativity and ability to perform in stressed situations. Nothing is given in electronic sports, as even the smallest impact can change the course of the game. This is one of the things that make electronic sports so interesting and intriguing to watch.

This is also why any player needs to be able to trust his equipment to perform at its best in any given situation. The most important factor in any game is the player, but he needs to be completely comfortable with the equipment he is using. We understand the importance and need for gamers to have the best possible environment when playing, so that they can focus purely on making the largest impact.

On the 15th of July 2010 we introduced to you the result of our first mouse-development, the EC-series, a series of competitive gaming mice developed in close cooperation with Emil 'HeatoN' Christensen.

The EC-series has a special place in our hearts, because it was the first product where we could really show off the result of the hard work and dedication we put into every product. To us the result was not only a great mouse for competitive gaming - it was also a symbol of the passion and ambition ZOWIE GEAR was founded on.
