Most of us will know Akasa for their long history in offering hardware for the general user. While the company has quite the line-up, the Venom Toxic chassis is their first foray into the gaming market under a sub brand which spans multiple products. You will find CPU coolers, fans and now these cases under the watchful eye of the Viper.
That said the Venom Toxic is a good chassis with good quality and a nice set of features. It does become apparent rather quickly, that none of the features are their own design and engineering and feel like someone plugged them together to present as many selling points to the customer as possible. By doing so, some aspects seem out of place, like the different colored fans or external USB 3.0 connector. Nonetheless the resulting value for your money is certainly present. The biggest issue Akasa will have is the fact that the same chassis is available from other brands like NOX or AeroCool. Both of these brands are better positioned as a gamer brand.
That said, the Akasa Venom Toxic offers the most complete of all these similar cases, as it includes a third fan, which neither the NOX Hummer or the AeroCool XPredator bring to the table. Akasa also offers 40W for the fan controller - while still not enough for many scenarios - it is still twice as much as the one found on the AeroCool chassis. On top of that, it offers the most elaborate design, but lacks the internal color choices of the other variants. So in the end, you are left with a couple of choices, but if you choose the Venom Toxic you seem to get the most for your money - so the Viper still has some bite left in it.
