AMD Trinity FM2 APU Preview Review

Introduction

You've seen the leaks and read the speculation, but that is all about to change. Yes, the new AMD FM2 APUs have landed at TechPowerUp. Today, we only have a preview of the AMD APUs, but you can definitely expect to see a whole lot of APU reviews in the coming days as they get reviewed by TechPowerUp and other sites.
Of course, I posted pictures of my first test chip back in July. I have since then had the pleasure of using an AMD FM2 APU for daily tasks with my main rig, and I have been using that AMD A10-5800K on the sly for the last three months. Let's just say, yes, I am very familiar with them. A short time before today, as I was prepping the actual review by doing all the needed benchmarks, AMD let us know that we could go ahead and post a preview to show you guys not only what is coming by also including some game performance numbers. A lot of people are asking whether this is "Just another AMD Launch?" and "Why do I even care?", so let's see if we can't clear the air a bit and get some of those questions answered. Let's take a look without any further ado. A list of detailed specifications, and the models that should be launching in just a short time, are shown below:
