The Antec Dark Fleet DF-500 aims to step into the footsteps of the original Dark Fleet cases, which managed to turn some heads not only due to the many fans they included, but also because of a few unique features and the unique design. While the latter was a heated point of discussion back then, the Dark Fleet managed to bring something to the table other case manufacturers did not.

The Antec Dark Fleet DF-500 is a sweet-looking chassis with three fans out of the box, which come equipped with RGB lighting. On top of that, you may expand the lighting easily and cycle through the colors with a press of a button. Antec has also done an excellent job in applying dust filters to all intake areas, which ensures your hardware stays nice and clean.

On the insides, the metal shroud enables a tidy build with everything in place, even without the grommets we usually see in cases of this price segment. With up to six storage trays, you should run into no issues in most build scenarios, and the tempered glass panel really helps offset the somewhat fragile feel of the front panel.

Overall, the Dark Fleet DF-500 is a very cool, futuristic chassis that checks off all the boxes for a mainstream chassis of its price. RGB, tempered glass, metal shroud, LED controller—it's all there, so you get exactly what you should at this price point. That said, this also means the DF-500 doesn't push the envelope as much as its predecessors in the case family did.
