Value & Conclusion

  • The Antec ISK-100 sells for around 65 Euro (incl. taxes) or 75 USD (excl. taxes). This makes it one of the more affordable, brand name DIY Mini-ITX enclosures out there.
  • One of the most compact DIY ITX enclosures out there
  • 100 mm fan should replace noisy fans supplied by mainboard manufacturers
  • Two 2.5 inch hard drive bays included
  • Four USB 2.0 ports, well spaced apart in the front
  • Fairly silent operation
  • Sturdy construction
  • Can power up to 80W of components
  • Good price
  • Simple but very protective packaging
  • Restrictive interior
  • Dust can easily enter the chassis due to open side
  • No card reader or extensive connectivity up front
  • Slightly long cables
  • Simple brown packaging
The Antec ISK-100 is an extremely compact ITX chassis. I may even go as far and say that it is one of the most compact DIY ones out there. Also considering the affordable price tag of around 65 Euro incl. taxes or 75 USD excluding them, the unit makes a very good impression. While installation was alright, Antec has really cut things close with the dimensions, as clearly seen with our chassis. This is also partly caused by design choices, but you should be fine if your board does not have large components on the very edge of the board. In turn the fan is rather quiet compared to the alternatives in the ITX segment out there and the two 2.5 inch hard drive bays will even allow you to place a RAID system within this ultra compact enclosure. Overall the Antec ISK-100 is an interesting and very useful chassis at an appropriate price - if your mainboard wins the fight against the limited space inside the chassis.
