Overclocking
There is not much point in discussing overclocking with this board. For me, this board is truly amazing, and you simply need to experience it yourself.
We do get all the features you'd expect out of a board built for overclocking, starting, of course, with a dual-digit POST code display. If you use this board right, you're going to need this.
We do get a bunch of onboard buttons and bits and bobs for extreme overclocking use, like switches to disable PCIe ports, a slow-mode switch, and direct voltage measuring points. You do also get a hugely capable VRM design ASRock touts as being capable of 450W 24/7 when proper airflow is provided. Such capability is hugely important if you plan on getting one of those HCC CPUs, like the 7980XE, since those CPUs can easily pull that much with clocks that aren't exactly extreme. So if you want to keep that HCC chip clocked up 24/7, this should be a board you keep on your very short list of products capable of that reliably.
