The ASRock Z490 AQUA features a 17-phase VRM in a (7x2) + 2 + 1 configuration. That's seven doubled phases for Vcore, two phases for SOC, and a single phase for system agent power delivery.
The AQUA Intersil ISL69269 PWM controller, which can drive a total of twelve distinct phases, is paired with ISL6617A doublers for the Vcore phases.
The ASRock Z490 AQUA uses top of the line Intersil ISL99390 power stages for all phases except VCCSA. These power stages support a maximum of 90 A of continuous current each and feature both overcurrent and over temperature protection.
The ASRock Z490 AQUA has a maximum output of 1,440 A, with 1,260 A dedicated to Vcore.
