We spent a week with the ASUS GRYPHON Z87 before beginning our performance testing, running various configurations and CPUs and checking hardware compatibility. We verified our power consumption numbers using different power supplies and played a few hours of games with some members of the TPU community to get an overall feel for the board and to verify stability. Once completed, we tore down the system, mounted our CoolerMaster cooler, and put the board through the paces. I will, as with other recent reviews of mine, let the numbers do the talking.

The ASUS GRYPHON Z87 posted pretty good results across the board. Hardly any other Z87 numbers are here for a comparison, but those numbers will come with other reviews in the following weeks. I am already testing many other Z87 products. The numbers here do give you a good idea of what the platform itself offers, but do keep in mind that I hand-picked these benchmarks for board reviews, not platform ones.
