Packaging and Contents

One area that definitely sees a cut back is the accessories, but they've been pretty thin on most X870 motherboards we've looked at so far including the far more expensive ROG Crosshair X870 Hero. There are some additional components for smaller M.2 SSDs, an updated Wi-Fi antenna with the new Q-Antenna connectors but nothing else other than the standard accessories such as SATA cables worth mentioning really


The board does have a thermistor sensor, but sadly there are no 2-pin thermistor cables in the box so you'll need to buy your own, whereas most boards that have these usually include at least one cable. Clearly ASUS has been trying to keep the price as low as possible here, which is probably sensible.
