Output Noise

For these measurements, we used a CEM-8852 Sound DB Meter that is installed 50 cm away from the NAS. Ambient noise in our lab was below 30 dBA while these noise measurements were taken.



With fan control mode set to auto and the HDDs hardly being taxed, you won't even notice the fan. However, you will need ear plugs should the fan ever hit full speed. Such never was the case in our tests, but we used low capacity HDDs, and low capacity HDDs can't stress this NAS server's cooling system properly.
