Graphics Card Cooler Front
Graphics Card Cooler Back

Even though the cooler looks quite simple, it does an excellent job at keeping the card cool and also scores with a very low noise profile.

Graphics Card Power Plugs

Being a low-end power efficient design there is a no need for external power connectors on the GeForce GT 220.

A uP6161 voltage regulator controls the GPU and memory voltage. Unfortunately it has no I2C interface so software voltage control is not possible.

Graphics Card Memory Chips

The DDR3 memory chips are made by Qimonda, and carry the model number IDSH1G-04A1F1C-16G. These are the system non-GDDR3 memory chips as they would be used on memory modules in your motherboard. They are specified to run at 800 MHz (1600 MHz DDR3 effective). NVIDIA does not support GDDR5 memory configurations on the GeForce GT 220. Board partners may choose whether they want to ship their cards with 512 MB or 1 GB of video memory.

Graphics Chip GPU

This is NVIDIA's new GT216 GPU, it comes with 486 million transistors and is produced on a 40 nm process at TSMC Taiwan.
