Ballistix Elite 3466 MHz DDR4 Review

Initial Setup

With the nearly 100% black aesthetic, the Ballistix Elite sticks disappear into most motherboards these days, but the white logo most definitely stands out.

Their simple design allows them to look good no matter which motherboard you put them into, even one that changes color every two seconds like this ASUS MAXIMUS IX FORMULA does.

Getting the sticks up and running proved to be no problem, but there are going to be CPUs that struggle a bit with trying to push the 3466 MHz XMP profile with all slots filled. A simple minor voltage boost may fix it as it did for me. There are other issues I ran into, too.

The Ballistix Elite sticks usually offer temperature monitoring, which is accessible by running the Ballistix MOD Utility.

Except that it doesn't like my motherboard, apparently. Queue the violins.
