Testing Rated Speeds
Our test system is still running 4.7-5.0 GHz per-core Turbo clocks to keep the heat and noise levels down while still offering good gaming performance.
The sticks boot up with a 2133 MHz JEDEC profile until you turn on XMP for another 1333 MHz to the memory sub-system. As I mentioned before, getting these clocks stable with my CPU did require I fiddle with the VCCSA and VCCIO voltages a little bit, but that is of no consequence since many kits that fill all slots with high-speed DIMMs are at times subject to the same tweaking. DDR4 speeds have gone amazingly high, and it seems DDR4 memory controllers are playing catch-up.
