The new Pure Power FM 750 W was a pleasant surprise. Given the non-modular and semi-modular Pure Power 11 units use an FSP platform, which failed to impress me, I didn't expect such high performance from the fully modular line. Platform and OEM changes shot up performance—it is now nearly on par with the Corsair RM750x, which is the reference in this category, especially with the platform refresh and ML fans. The Pure Power 11 FM 750 doesn't do as well as the the RM750x overall performance, but beats it in average efficiency and noise output.

Not everything is perfect with this good PSU, though, but I am known for unearthing the smaller details. For starters, I am not fond of the Teapo SC caps on the secondary side and the 85 °C bulk capacitors. Most likely, both of these parts will easily outlive the provided warranty unless you push the PSU hard at over 40 °C for prolonged periods of time. Japanese caps would notably increase the cost, but I would be happy to pay a dollar or two more for 105 °C bulk caps. All competing offerings use such caps, so be quiet! should follow suit.

Moreover, the high-inrush currents with 230 V can be a problem for some users, and it would be nice to ask CWT to address this facet. Finally, the lower warranty period compared to other offerings in this category doesn't look good, but ten years for a power supply is in my opinion way too long. That said, I had to list the five-year warranty as a negative since the competition provides longer ones. Nonetheless, given the Teapo SC caps and 85 °C bulk caps, I wouldn't give this PSU a longer warranty.

All in all, the be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM 750 W is a good power supply with high performance in almost all areas while keeping noise output low. Notable competitors are the Corsair RM750x and RM750, XPG Core Reactor 750, Super Flower Leadex III Gold, and Seasonic GX-750.

The be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM 750 W is a fine product and deserves our Highly Recommended badge.
