Biostar Racing X470GTN Review

Finished Looks

The Biostar Racing X470GTN is a handsome little board, and it paired brilliantly with the rest of my test system. The Biostar Racing line of boards has come a long way aesthetically, and while I always liked their designs, Biostar has taken some noticeable steps forward over the last couple of generations to make the Racing designs more broadly appealing. The black PCB and black carbon heatsinks will match with the majority of components on the market, and I think the fit and finish is up to the standards of any other board out there.

The RGB implementation on the Biostar Racing X470GTN is good, but not quite on par with other boards I have recently seen. That diffusion shield on the heatsink would compliment the rest of the board much better if it were tinted black. That said, the LEDs do look good and aren't overstated. There is only one section of RGB LEDs on the Biostar Racing X470GTN, but Biostar has worked in two headers for RGB expansion. The LEDs can, of course, be switched completely off.
