The BIOSTAR Z590 Valkyrie has a unique aesthetic of black and gold with flairs of neon pink thrown in for good measure. The looks of the BIOSTAR Z590 Valkyrie are sure to be divisive, but the board is memorable.


The CPU socket is open enough for most air coolers.


There are three M.2 slots on the BIOSTAR Z590 Valkyrie, all featuring full-coverage heatsinks.

Note that the top M.2 slot will only function with an 11th Gen CPU installed.


The BIOSTAR Z590 Valkyrie offers three PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots, all steel-reinforced. The top two slots are PCIe Gen 4 compatible. The board has a total of six SATA 6 Gb/s ports on the side, angled 90 degrees from the board.


The BIOSTAR Z590 Valkyrie has a fair I/O offering that includes an optical S/PDIF out port.
