Cebit 2006: Day 1 Review

Patriot Memory

The memory experts from Patriot had DDR433 and DDR500 memory on display. Both come in 2GB kits. The 433 MHz kit runs at 2-3-2-5 timings while the 500 MHz version uses 3-4-4-8.

With DDR memory slowly disappearing since AMD's socket AM2 will support only DDR2, Patriot is slowly focusing on DDR2 products. Their new 800 MHz series offers 4-4-4-12 timings while the 1000 MHz memory runs at 5-5-5.

The USB stick range of Patriot has also been extended with a 4GB and 8GB model. Imagine - a whole DVD on USB stick.
